Hey Angels Shadow. Was wondering when is this fic gonna update? i know christmas is coming up so hopefully after christmas you will update this awesome fic. and yeah i haven't been updating my fic myself but it won't be til sometime after christmas that i will update cuz i will be doing lots of shopping and stuff. I'm so looking forward for a update and merry christmas!! hope you'll have a great new year!!

Author's Response: *Sigh* I think it might be awhile before there's an update. Unfortunately, life has gotten so hectic between the holidays and going back to school, I haven't even been on the site for what feels like forever!!

As always...I loved it! I love the addition of Dawn, def didn't see that coming. I too thought at first that the mouse might be Connor but as much I love Connor as well I think Dawn was the better person for the role. Great chapter and I can't wait to see whats in store next.

Author's Response: I'm so happy you enjoyed the addition of Dawn. Glad you agree because I think Dawn is better suited for the role as well, especially as the story plays out. Unfortunately, with Christmas coming, I've far too much going on, so updates will be slow. I'll still be reading and reviewing other stories, but as for my own, well ... it might take a little while :( As always, thank you so much!!!

WONDERFUL! I just knew when I wrote my last review that you had to have a good reason for Riley's brother not knowing. I couldn't wait to see what it was and I have to admit I had no idea how you were possibly going to pull that off but you did an amazing job! It explains his not knowing about Riley and Angel and Cordy not getting trouble perfectly. I actually like backstories also so it was a really really good chapter in my eyes. Great job as always.

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Truly, I can't say it enough. I am so glad you liked this chapter, and it admittedly took awhile for me to get this chapter out. I kept rewriting it because it just wasn't coming out right - like I couldn't quite get it to make sense in my opinion. Personally, I would've preferred this chapter to be in Phantom because I don't really enjoy writing backstory unless its necessary. Well, which it was in this case, but the flashback part would've fit better as a chapter from Phantom. As always, thank you so very much!!

Again, this chapter remans true to what went on in Paris and England back then. I like how Dawn's background is very similar to Cordelia's.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you pointed that out about Dawn and Cordelia!! The plan is for that to be a little bit of foreshadowing because I think Cordelia is going to be the one to understand Dawn's past better than anyone because she shared a similar fate. Most people don't like back story but I really enjoyed this chapter. In my senior year last year we studied the French Revolution in my english class and I really loved the history behind it. It apalled me how the people were treated by their government and how an aristrocrat could murder an innocent and get away with it. Anyway, the whole point of my rambaling was to say that this story shows perfectly how the people were treated back then even if its set in Paris and not England. Again, great chapter.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed it ... though admittedly, I hate backstory myself. Sometimes, its unavoidable, and I needed a plausible reason for why Gareth doesn't know what really happened that night. And its definitely not to say that I'm a historian - I'm certain plenty of stuff might not be entirely accurate, but as I said, fanfic is fun for me and I don't want it bogged down by research on my part. So I just use what I sort of already know :) So yeah, me taking liberty with history! You're right though, it was awful how people were treated - how if you were poor you were just the scapegoat for everything. After my own history classes, it makes me happy I'm a part of the 21st century. I'm so glad you enjoyed it - your words really mean a lot to me. Thank you a million times over for everything!!!!

Wow That was another awesome, excellent chappie you written so well Angels Shadow. I didn't expect Mouse to be a girl actually, much less Dawn but it made me feel sorry for her because she's so poor and all and im glad Angel is taking her under his wing. Awesome chappie. like the other chappies, i loved this one as well and its beautifully well written. You are doing such a tremendous, awesome job on this fic just like the amazing Phantom fic!! i hope now that you'll update asap!!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for everything!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Eventually, Dawn will become one of the focal points of the story. It was really good...and i really didn't see Mouse being a girl, actually I honestly thought it was Conner at first. But to be honest the chapter before...while important to the story...was a tad bit boring. But every story has to have one chapter with boring backstory. I can't wait to see what you come up with next and what happens with everyone else!

Author's Response: Connor was never one of my favorites, and to be honest, I don't think he'll ever appear in a story I write. I wanted the opportunity to include Dawn, and I thought this was the role that would be best for her. As for the previous chapter, you could've said it was as boring as watching grass grow, and I wouldn't have minded. I hate backstory. Yes, sometimes its essential to the plot, but if I can't be writing about what my characters are doing or thinking in the present, I get bored. As always, I appreciate the review greatly!!!

Hey Angels Shadow. I totally love and is extremely happy that you decided to get a sequel to Phantom and i love that more Buffy characters are introduced in this fic as well. its totally awesome!! anyways, i wanted to let you know that im working on the first chappie to the sequel of In The Forests of The Night which you already know is called The Ghost Of You. Anyways, i wanted to let you know that the sequel is gonna be a lil inspired from The Crow movie which is one of my faves and that the sequel will be a bit different this time around because right now, im trying to develop the first chappie a lil slowly kinda like your Phantom fic so it can describe the events and the surroundings in the fic better than the first fic but i should have the very first chappie posted by this friday or saturday considering that im working on it as of right now. Its great news and i cannot wait to see how readers and especially you will respond to it. Awesome awesome fic you got there and i hope there's a update asap since there's hasn't been one in like forever, hee hee just kidding!!! lol. Please update soon Angels Shadow!! the suspense and waiting is killing me!!! lol

Author's Response: I'm so thrilled to see you'll be posting your sequel soon!!! I loved The Crow, though its been years since I last saw that movie. I was anxious to read the sequel before, but now I'm even more anxious to see how you use the inspiration from the Crow!!! Believe me, I'll be looking for the first posting :) As for this sequel, I've gotten part of the next chapter written, though it seems to me kinda bogged down by backstory to reasonably explain why Gareth hasn't heard the truth about what happened between Riley and the Phantom. If I'd known I was going to plan a sequel, I would've planned Phantom a little differently to set this story up. But, that's what happens when you don't plan, and I've unfortunately found that the next chapter at least will have to deal with some backstory about what exactly happened with the authorities, etc, right after Riley was killed. As always, thank you for the kind comments, and I eagerly await the beginning of your new fic :)

i swear...it's gonna take me forever to give you a review if it keeps happening....so I loved Angel and Giles' interaction, and from what you wrote, Wesley's interaction with...well everyone else, will be pretty amusing as well....hopefully all this goes through!

I really appreciate you taking the time, especially since you're computer seems to be harrassing you at the moment :) Glad you enjoyed the addition of Anya as well as the interaction between Giles and Angel. I was going for light hearted so you get the idea these two have actually become really good friends over the past months. I hope to have something up soon, but my concentration as been more or less diverted by my original. Since I've overcome writer's block on that, I don't want to stop while the writing is good :) As always, thank you so much for all the great reviews and all the encouragement and support!!!

Author's Response: Mummy Returns is great - its one of the few movies I never tire of. I'd actually thought a crossover with Buffy would be cool, but I've got no idea how I would do that, so its still just a thought sitting in my head at this point going absolutely no where. And yes, if you've seen the first one, rent X2 - if you enjoyed the first one, you won't be disappointed. Yes, I rant ... a lot.

YAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!! You put Anya in!!! You have done her flawlessly, Anya is almost as good for comic releif as Dru. The villans, still creepy, and Tara...SO SAD.I'm not the sentimentil-y type, but her story IS SO SAD! Cant wait for the next update!
