That actually clears a lot of stuff up. I'm glad I didn't offend you. Also I wasn't trying to say that you yourself was trying to make suiside beautiful I was pretty much saying that in response to other people's reviews. I thought it was writen very well and everyone is definitly entitled to their own opinions on what should have happened I was pretty much just trying to give mine. I just think that Angel would have been very very stupid to kill himself after everything that happened and I don't see him as a stupid guy. Again...I was just voicing my own opinion and I'm very glad I didn't offend you because that wasn't my goal at all.

Well, I was looking for something short to read to pass the time and I came across this fic on someone's favorit's list. I have to say it was well writen...but...(I hope you don't mind getting a semi bad review) as much I myself always swear I thought this fic wasn't really the place for it. Also I love happy endings but I also know that a lot of times things don't end happily but this endding was a little rediculas. He commited suiside and suiside is never beautiful. If he was doing this to save the world or to save Buffy or something like that it would much more powerful and beautiful but to me this endding was just a little weird. I'm really not trying to bash you or anything even close to that but I just feel it was way more selfish of Angel then anything else. If I were Buffy I'd be more pissed off and disapointed then sad.
Author's Response: Okay, first off, I always, always appreciate honest reviews. Thank you. Now, in response to your comments: Yes, the swearing is unnecessary. When is it ever necessary? Do you really need to swear? No. It's like how you really don't need to use the word "spontaneously" when you can just say "suddenly". They're just words people use. Is it in context? Never. I was never trying to portray suicide as beautiful. Suicide is a terrible matter; some of my friends went through one of those phases and it was awful for me as well as them. Thank god, they're over it. Never, not ever, would I try and portray it as beautiful. In this fiction, I used it as a tool in my writing to advance the story. In the episode, Angel walked away unscathed. I simply portrayed another possibility in the form of dramatic fiction. And, he was trying to save Buffy. That was the entire point of the episode. Why was he going to let himself burn in the first place? Because the First, big powerful evil, convinced him that she'd be in danger if he was alive. So he just refused to be convinced otherwise. Finally, put yourself in Buffy's shoes. She lost Angel, and just got him back. Last time, she left town. Wouldn't you be upset, and then angry if he went poof? I think so. She wouldn't go, "Aw. How disappointing" and go along her day. Anyway, again, I thank you very much for your honest opinion. |

All i gotta say is that this short fic was very very beautiful. full of sadness and all that. i couldn't believe the end though. it was so sad i almost cried myself but everything in this fic was just plainly beautiful. i really really do hope you'll decide to add another chappie to this because i'm already falling in love with it considering what happened to Angel. I love the speech in Amends too so that's a plus. You did an awesome job on this slayerfest. i really hope you'll add another chappie. im gonna add this to my faves. Please update soon if you're going to!!!

Terrible! Terrible in the sense that it was amazing. It made me cry, seriously. I like the way it ended, even though Angel died. Good job!

This was beutiful, i loved the ending(call me morbid, but i like not-completely-happy-bittersweet endings. And i agree, cussing is an art. A talent of mine. YUO GOTA FUCKIN PROBLEM WITH THAT!?!?!?!

This is so great. Even though I love Angel, I liked the way it ended. Its so sad, I caught myself shedding a few tears. And don't worry about the swearing...fuck happens to be one of my favorite words lol. Anyways great job.

I always get scorched for swearing all the time and I don't really see what harm words can do unless directed at someone, which I never do. Unless the person's on TV.) |
