| Oh - clever with the Xander thing - clever. I can't wait for the Spike/Xander conversation. I want to know how Spike feels about how he feels. So many stories ignore the fact that Spike in herently evil and not a cute little puppy, but that his capacity for love turns him into loves bitch - whether he wants it or not. Perfact example of this is the 'I'm off to kill Buffy' scene from Fool for Love.
The only area that doesn't quite sit right with me is Buffy. You told us how she felt about Spike, but how does she feel about love? This is hardest part of these post Season 6 stories - to make Buffy turn from abuser to romantic. She was still using Spike's love for her right up until the end of season seven because he was a good fighter. Just from the TV series I have to ask is she even capable of love.

| god i feel just horrible for spike! it's one thing for the actual even to happen, but for others to find out...
if's so glad anya is back she rocks! and i cannot wait to see what dawn is planing. the anticipation is gonna kill me. i wish people would cut xander a break though, he can't help the way he feels and he's loved buffy as a woman and as a friend since they meet, so it's obvous that he would still be pissed at spike. great story. |

| Interesting twist with Anyanka. I thought you handled the Buffy/Spike get back together thing well. People complain about fics that just have Buffy just going 'oh I'm over the whole rape thing now because it has just come to me that you are hot - let's have sex'. To actually make it believeable takes time, energy and an emotional and physical plot for the characters - especially not easy when you are working with TV Buffy's rather cardboardy characterisation . |
