Connor Illyria having a heart to heart, or at least a heart to melted ball of gew, is neat. Illyria now is so much like Connor was before the spell.
Author's Response: I enjoyed righting those scenes, Illyria and Conner, enjoyable. Illyria, ex-god like being talking to Conner, a kind "Hey Dude" person. :-P |

Wow. Emma is quite the little killing machine. I liked Connor and Illyria’s tete-a-tete in the garden. It was insightful, yet so true to their characters. I’m a little worried about Emma becoming a Mary Sue, but she’s kind of a villain for the moment, so I’m reserving judgment. The backup slayers were pretty cool, too. I hope we see more of them. Well, the one’s who lived, anyway. I’m interested to see if everyone’s right about who Emma’s father is.
Author's Response: Thank You. And yes, I was going for the whole "villain for the moment" thing. She's a challenge. A person doing what she was doing, that has been so, [badly chosen word.] 'sucessful' at it all this time, she's threat, something they have to take care of, fix. They can't let her keep up that and she's super strong, good at what she does, stronger than them, [sort of she's not completely invincible, who is?] Emma is a challenge [I repeat myself :-)] |
