This was a really good chapter. I like that you didn't give us a blow-by-blow acocunt of the fight. Just giving us the aftermath creates a kind of mystery around the fight. Each of us can imagine how it played out in our own minds. I also like the selection of characters you're running with. This looks really promising.

As much as I don't like Buffy and Spike as a couple, them "doing things" is pretty hot. Poor Angel :(. And Emma- yikes, that's a pretty friggin high body count there. Good chapter.

Another great chapter with lots of funny lines and Spike/ Angel banter. I really like how Connor and Emma interact. There are so many different (and conflicting) emotions between them that it makes them such a rich source of drama.

Dude, you killed her. I'm so, so sad right now. And no, an Illyria fic will not fix this! Pain and heartache is what you've brought. Of course, that is what I signedon for, so I guess it should be happy. But ouch. That REALLY hurt.
Author's Response: I really liked Her. I felt bad when I was going to kill her, it's hard to keep track of all the characters, and then play them out to their fullest, but then you're not sure if you're doing a good job at that either. And I think Fred is sweet and very nice, and Illyria had cool thing, but what would she really do in life? Useful yes she would of been, but she will be missed. |

Author's Response: Yeah, all kinds of L people, I wish I'd done that episode better though. The original was hard to build into my now story line. And no guy would want to date a girl who beat the snot out of him, unless they were weird, or thought they could change her or stupid or something :-P |

I'm probably off my rocker, but Connor's jealousy toward Emma seems like a 5th grade "I like you" *punch* *runs away* "I don't like her" kind of jealousy. He seemes like he's kind of intro her, which suck for Vegetarian girl.
Author's Response: I don't think you're off your rocker. I was going for the jealousy 1. because that's kind of what Angel and Spike have, 2. The characters are like their parents. :-)

I feel sad for Angel. I never liked SPike and Buffy as a couple that much, and it must kill him that they had a kid. So, Emma really is the female Connor. Like I said, creepy.

Connor Illyria having a heart to heart, or at least a heart to melted ball of gew, is neat. Illyria now is so much like Connor was before the spell.

The auctioneer thing was alittle odd. Even if he was cheap, he wouldn't sell to someone who didn't offer the highest price. But it was nice to have Lilah back and her reason for being back was hysterical. Overall, another great chapter.

This would be the perfect start to a 6th season of Angel. I love how your writing conveys the tension of the battle's aftermath and AI's attempt to regroup. I hope Connor sticks around and helps out dad. Great first chapter!
