I like the new chemistry between William and Cordelia. They seem so sweet. Hope you expand on that. Need Reiley to be bashed over the head. Good work with Faith, she stayed true to form. Bravo, great chapter.

To be honest, I'd never really thought about having anything happen between William and Cordy until I wrote the last chapter and that scene just kinda popped out of my head. Great job! I love how you did Faith, perfect for her charactor on the show.

I figured it would be difficult to put Faith's character in 19th century Paris, but I did the best I could without making her seem too modern or out of place in that time, so I'm so happy you liked it! Even when she was evil, I always enjoyed her, so I just had to throw in the cameo appearance :) Again, thank you so much, I'm so glad you liked it! |

Great chapter as usual. I saw so scared for Xander...you def had some great suspence going on there. I'm really really loving this story. Don't ever stop writing.
Author's Response: Glad I was able to create the suspense, sometimes I think I'm not so good at that, but then, I'm far too critical of my own writing. Thank you so, so much! And I think I'd die without my writing - its such a huge part of my life ... not just with this, but with the writing a novel thing ... someday, damn it, it will be finished. My friend is at some kind of ultamit frisbee thing so I thought I would take this time to catch up on your story...which is amazing btw. I love this chapter its really great. I didn't really like Cordy so much in the first season of Buffy but she def proved herself to be a really good character specially in Angel. Great chapter. I'm really enjoying this story.

I understand, and when you get around to it, you get around to it. Its all good. So hey, how's the weather in Vermont?? Never been there but I heard its a gorgeous state. Anyway, yeah Cordy pretty much annoyed me in the 1st season of Buffy, but I really liked her character after that, which was why I felt compelled to redeem her in this story. I liked this chapter. It showed us some of the reasoning Riley wanted Buffy's money. I hope Alexander has more luck finding out about his debts. Hope you update soon.
Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it. I wanted to throw that out there to better elaborate on his debts, which he more or less created for himself by spending what he didn't have to keep up appearances, which was such a common occurance with the noble class. Appearances, wealth, and power were the only three things that talked in their circles. Again, thank you so much for all your support! Your kind words mean so very much to me! |

wow. i really love how this is going with the latest chappie and im so happy you updated again cuz im pretty much bored here doing nothing but reading and reviewing some of the fellow authors' awesome fics which i enjoy doing though lol and yea plus its friday and tis boring but either way, i really love how this is going and that it doesn't sound too rushed to lead to the event where that pig Riley will get his. when i read the chappie, i want to bitchslap him in the face cuz he sounded so phony expressing his so called love to Buffy. Very disgusting and rile indeed lol!!!. this fic is truly one of the best i have read and your writing is making that happen to the very fullest. You are one of my fave authors here so i gotta say this you're an awesome writer and please update soon!!

Again, your reviews truly do brighten my day :) Well, at least we all know Buffy isn't falling for his phony charm, but, even writing this, I can just imagine how difficult it must be for her - trying to pretend she loves him. I'm definitely trying to take my time leading up to the big showdown. I want everything to be paced, build suspense, etc. Again, words can't thank you enough! I hope you'll feel better soon....in my dorm we've already had 6 cases of the whooping cough so it kinda sucks. Anyways....It really wasn't that bad! Well....attempted rape is pretty bad but you did it pretty...tastefully i wanna say. Also....love every fic with some Riley bashing and-hey- yours does! I really hope you'll feel better and update soon ok?
Author's Response: Wow, that does suck. I heard this year was supposed to be bad for diseases and stuff, especially with all that talk of the bird flu now. But anyway, thanks - the doc gave me some good drugs, so I'll be fine in a few days. Actually, I'm feeling better already. And thank you so much for the positive review ... Poor Cordy. I'm glad Angel was there to save her. And I like the fact that they have decided to get over their dislike of each other
Author's Response: Again, I say I kinda cringed before I put that in there because I wasn't sure how people would take it ... and I hated hurting Cordy's character in such a way, but it was a way for Angel and Riley to have their first encounter. Plus it opened up the door for Cordy and Angel to move past their dislike for one another. So, again, I thank you so much for your input, and I'm so glad you liked it. What can i say? Like in every other chappie, i am truly amazed how well you have written this chappie and i really loved reading it although i do not like the part where that ass pig Riley forced himself on Cordelia it was good to see that she bashed his head in into unconcious like the dog that he is lol. I will say this so many times that you are doing such an amazing job and im glad the Phantom saved Cordy from that nasty pig. A excellent chappie just like all the others and im glad you updated on this. You are doing such a truly amazing job!! keep it up and please update soon!!!
Author's Response: Thank you so much - again, your reviews mean so much to me, and I can't thank you enough. I was skeptical about putting the scene with Cordelia and Riley in. I didn't want to offend anyone, which was why I kept it as mild as possible. I read a lot of period romances, and it was such a common occurance for nobility to take whatever they wanted, especially women. Not like, unfortunately, it isn't a common occurance today, but at least women have rights now. Back then, there wasn't anything a woman could do about it, especially if she was of a lower class and her attacker was nobility. So, again, I kinda cringed before I posted this - being a little worried about what people might think. But, that's why I felt compelled to post the warning at the beginning of the chapter. Again, thank you so much for the review - your comments always make me smile :) |

I love this story! I loved the Phantom of the Opera and always thought the Phantom was misunderstood. Keep up the great work!
