Hey Angels Shadow. Like in every review i have posted about your awesome ass kicking fic, i just wanted to say that im in totally in love with your fic all the way from the first chappie to the current chappie. the characters, the time of place, everything is so perfect and the descriptions are very much beautiful and a bit of old fashioned which makes the fic even more beautiful so much when i read it!! i have to say, this is one of those few fics that captures my attention from the first chappie to the current chappie and is one of the best fics i have read so far on this site. You truly are such an amazing writer and after when you completed Phantom, i hope you'll be inspired to write even a more beautiful fic than this masterpiece. corny word, but still, that's how i feel. i was gonna wonder, how many chappies are you planning on all together for Phantom? its not a problem or anything cuz i really do love long fics but i was just curious to see how far you're gonna take this fic to. i was wondering, are we readers getting any closer to the grand finale or what? Until the very last chappie is posted, i will always continue my support for this awesome fic!! since you've been one of the readers that kept on supporting my own fic (which by the way a big big thank you from me to you and hugs as well lol), i am so happy to let you know that i'm almost done with the in the forests of the night fic. No really i am lol. i'm got about 4 more chappies i need to complete and im only gonna say this one. the ending is gonna be a complete shocker and i have to say that readers are prolly not gonna have a happy ending when i post the last chappie lol. im telling only you because i owe you that much for supporting my fic since the beginning and that is my thanks to you. i hope you please please update soon asap!!!

It's totally not corny to say masterpiece - you've no idea how truly honored I am to have all of your continued support and for you to feel so highly about my work. I'm truly so happy you love what I've done. Descriptions, I feel, are never my strong point - I prefer writing dialogue, so it makes me feel so good that you feel I've done it well. I can't predict how many chapters there are going to be. When I started writing this, I didn't think there would be this many chapters. But, I just started writing, and most of this stuff I never counted on happening just did. But, I would take a guess that I am nearing the end, but I'm not going to put it in terms of chapters because I'm not entirely certain. As for an alternate universe story sort of similar to Phantom (description wise and the fact it takes place in the past), I do have an idea in mind, but I'm not entirely certain when I might write that ... hopefully shortly after the conclusion of Phantom, but I can't make any promises. As for your awesome fic, I can't wait to see it updated. I was so thrilled to see you have a sequel planned so while there may not be a happy ending, here's hoping the sequel will. I don't always expect happy endings, and sometimes its good to not have the happily ever after that everyone expects because, well, the truth is, real life isn't always happily ever after. Regardless, I know your fic will be awesome, and I can't wait to finish reading it. I'm really looking forward to it. Again, I thank you a million times over for all of your kind words and awesome reviews. They mean so very much to me, and I always love reading them. Your dedicated support is amazing, and I totally appreciate it more than you can imagine. Woah...Deep stuff in this chapter. The whole killing Riley thing, much more dramatic when you take away all the vampires and spells and stuff. But as always, beutiful and thought provokeing. UPDATE
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the insightful input. Until I read your review, it hadn't even ocurred to me that even though Riley is a "monster" he isn't an actual monster, so basically, yeah, we're talking about murder. I think that's what made Tara's death in the show so heart wrenching and hard to swallow was because it had nothing to do with the mystical or supernatural, which is more or less the only thing the show had dealt with until that point. It was always a vampire or some other monster doing the killings. Again, thank you so much for your input. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the thoughts since it hadn't occured to me while I was writing the chapter. I agree, it tends to make you think a little now that I realize it :) Again, thank you a million times over, and I'll try to update soon! |

I love the scenes between Cordelia and William and Willow and Alexander. They were so sweet. But oh my goodness, you have me going crazy wondering whats going on with Buffy. Please please please update soon!
Author's Response: lol - that seems to be the general response ... I'm sorry, truly I am. I didn't mean to be so cruel and leave it hanging. Please read my response to BelovedSlayer below for a "hint" concerning the next chapter, just in case I don't get it updated as soon as I would like, and because I feel bad to leave you guys hanging like that :( And I'm so glad you liked the scenese between Cordy/William and Willow/Alexander. They were some of my favorite scenes, but they probably paled in comparison to the Buffy scene. Again, thank you SO much for all of your support. Lessthanangelic1 is right. Angels Shadow you are such a tease!! lol i can't believe you left the part with Buffy just like that. Besides that though, i really enjoyed the chappie immensely and i thought it was one of the most beautiful chappies out of the whole entire fic in general and i somehow noticed that you described some of the scenery like the moonlight beatifully just like the way i do with my fic *teases* . if it's true you did that, im truly honored to bring in that kind of inspiration its what keeps me and my fics going. but anyways, i love love love your entire fic and i think its one of the best and most beautiful ones i have ever read since i started writing last year. You are truly doing an amazing job!! you should be soo proud of yourself for all your hard work on this!! You truly have no idea how many smiles you bring me! Sigh, but yes, I know I shouldn't have been mean and left you guys hanging (hey, wait a second - I recall you've left quite a few cliff hangers in your own perfectly wonderful fic lol). Since I'm not entirely certain if I'll get the next chapter up tonight (and I feel bad cuz I left you all hanging), I'll give you guys a hint - Buffy will be okay and her attacker is not the vicomte. As for the moonlight descriptions, I can definitely say I love the moonlit imagery in your fic. Its so beautiful. Again, it truly is an honor to hear such wonderful compliments - you have absolutely no idea how much I appreciate each and every one. But I figured the scene with Buffy might take awhile, and I didn't want to make the chapter over long, so I figured it was a good point to end it with Willow and Alexander ... though not from a reader's perspective I suppose :) I'm currently working on the next chapter, so it should be up within the next day or two ... here's hoping anyway. well....while i really do hate reading backstory...it was pretty necessary for the story...plus you know that whole tease with the ending there was awesome....just enough for someone who's never read the story before to tune in! i can't wait for the next update!
Author's Response: Ah, backstory - I know I don't usually enjoy reading it either any more than I was particularly fond of writing it. Unfortunately, its a necessary evil from time to time, especially since I needed a logical jump in time, and the only way I felt I could do it was by stopping the action/dialogue to take a few pages to sum up the past few weeks for the reader. I'm so happy you liked the end of the chapter, and I hope to have something updated soon. Again, you've no idea how much I appreciate all your support. It means so much to me, and I can't thank you enough for all the encouragement and wonderful reviews!! |

i wanted to mention this here. i saw your profile and it said you used to be a WWE fan and that the Undertaker used to be your favorite. well.. this might sound embarrassing but i used to love watching WWE all the time since i was about 8 or 8 years old. im 21 now and the undertake used to be one of my faves as well lol! Small world we live in huh? he he. another thing. The Phantom fic Rocks!!! Update soon!!!
Author's Response: That's so cool - another Undertaker fan :) What I can't believe is that the Undertaker is somewhere in his 40s and he's still going strong. By now you'd think he'd be in a wheelchair for all the crazy stunts those people put their bodies through. I started watching WWE when I was around 8 or 9 too. The reason I stayed into it until about 3 or 4 years ago (I just turned 23 in August) was because my brother is 8 years younger than me. His enthusiasm for it kept me interested. When he lost interest, I lost interest. Well, plus I couldn't complain about all the hot men strutting around half naked every week :) And I'll try to update soon :) Thanks again for everything!!! |

it feels like its been forever since you updated and i was sooooo happy that you finally did. there's something about the chappie that im really super excited about. i don't know, maybe its because Riley was called names or the fact that more and more people were believing the fact that Riley was the real murderer. either way, after reading this, i can't even express in words how much i'm sooo damn excited to see the final showdown. it makes me soo giddy with excitement knowing that Riley will finally get his. i really truly admire your writing for this fic because somehow its beautiful in a way that describes the old Paris from long ago. like i said so many countless times, you are such a truly amazing kick ass author it will truly be a honor to work on a fic together sometime. All i gotta say is this: Keep up the fantastic kick ass work and please please update ASAP!!! By the way, i will be updating In The Forests of The Night by tomorrow. Update soon!!

Your reviews always brighten my day :) I really am so happy you liked the chapter - I was a little nervous about it, thinking it might kinda be boring just because I was trying to sum up the past few weeks and take that jump in time that will take us to the masquerade and eventually the Phantom's Opera. Again, you have no idea how much I appreciate all of your support. And I would LOVE to work together with you on a fic. That would be awesome. I've never co written anything, so that would be so cool to do something like that. We'll have to start kicking around some ideas, though with the holidays coming life gets kinda hectic.
