Very interesting. I love how (even though I know this is an original story and its not really Angel) it almost seems that what Angel is going through in this story is similar to his curse in the show. He can't lose himself in a women or he'll lose his control. It's really great and makes things very interesting. Great job as always!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I love the idea of his not being able to get close to anyone, but obviously I didn't want it to be curse related or in the sense that he'll lose his soul because technically, in this universe, a vampire still has a soul - a human conscience, but there's also the demon which is inevitably stronger, so it takes a lot for vampires, etc. to overcome that evil and it takes a lot of control to maintain it. |

Great chapter as always! I love the hot and sweaty dream that Buffy had (with I'm guessing Angel). It shows that they have an obvious connection already. I also like that Buffy's mom gave her that necklace and ring and I can't wait to find out what they really mean. Excellent work as usual. I was going to read just one chapter last night before bed (I have the story printed out) and I read this one and then the next and then the next until I got too tired to go on lol. It's really amazing though I just couldn't stop reading it. Keep up the great work.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the dream sequence - I kinda thought it might be too much of a gimmick, but I wanted to establish a connection before they met ... but naturally, it doesn't mean a quick and happy ending for Angel and Buffy. If I have my way, this is going to be a series, and they're going to go through a lot but they'll get their happily ever after ... eventually. |

Sorry the review that I placed for chapter two was supposed to be for chapter three. So I'll write my chapter two review for chapter three lol. Anyway your doing a great job and I can't wait to see whats going to happen with Buffy and this Santo guy...very interesting. I also can't wait for Buffy to meet Angel. Also I started reading this fic after you had already told everyone that it was an original story and I have to say its really good. Even though it doesn't have anything to do with the real Buffy and the real Angel I think its great and I can't wait to see where you take it.

Yes! I've finally had time to read the one fic of yours that I haven't read yet. I've only read the first two chapters so far but it looks like its going to be great.
On another note I've gotta say...I hope you come back on soon. I haven't seen you writing or reviewing in a while and I had hoped that you would come back after the holidays but you haven't yet =( We all miss you here and I hope you come back soon.

Lovely confrontation. Now she knows! And I loved the part where she was talking about how she needed to feel alive, and when she was asking what it would mean to kill a person. Very nice.

Wow. Awesome chappie you just wrote there Angels Shadow. i totally love it!!! i love that it captures all the angst and the emotions between Buffy and Angel. you narrowed it down perfectly!!! and i must say, i think this fic is continuing to get more better and better each time you update. its sooo awesome and at the same time, it makes me feel like im actually in the 15th century or something!!. awesome chappie and thus i think its my fave chappie so far. Awesome fic and your writing it very very well, just like your Phantom fic. Awesome work Angels Shadow!! please update asap!!

This chapter was so sad. Poor Buffy. Im glad that Sterling is alive but something tells me he wont be for long. :( Oh and Callie really needs to die now.
Author's Response: Well ... I can't give anything away ... but I will say that Callie isn't going to be out of the picture anytime soon - as a warning. I've far too many plans for her as a prominent villain throughout, so I highly doubt we'll see her death by the end of this story. Of course, who knows what'll happen once we get there?? Anything goes when I write because I don't plan. I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter, and, as always, thank you a million times over for all the wonderful comments. They keep me smiling :) |

This story is absolutely fabulous. Like I said before, I absolutely love the characterization. Their experiences in this world have made them vastly different from the characters in WhedonLand, but it's still perfectly believable that they began that way. Well, except for Sterling, Callie, etc.
Oh, and I was trying to remember--is Elektra the name of that woman on Ats with the electric hands? If so, is this the same person?
Author's Response: Thank you so very much for all the kind words. I'm so happy to know I've created believable characters based on what you know of their past experiences. That's the goal - remain true to what I've created and sometimes I fear I don't do that. But, I talk far too much ... as for Elektra, she has nothing to do with AtS, and that I used that name is merely coincidental. She has no previous connection with Whedon's Buffyverse. As always, I thank you for all the great comments. Its always a joy to read. |
