Good stuff! Present tense is very refreshing! Did you pull a stint as a physics major for 500 years in Pylea too? Love the Schrodinger's cat reference. Who knows? Maybe the answer to the Uncertainty principle concerning the cat really is that the cat is un-dead!

Author's Response: I struggled with the fic for a while before I realized it needed to be written in present tense. Something about young!Dawn's POV is more immediate, less reflective than post-"Chosen" Dawn (whom I usually write), and it needed the different tense. I'm not a physics major, and I really just ruthlessly recycle the same jargon over and over for my crazy!Fred fics (and she still ends up sounding more like Dru and/or River). Thanks!
