Okay, I just read the last 4 or 5 chapters, and I haven't read anything that upsetting in quite awhile. That defies description. But, much as I hate to admit it, I agree with Shay...Willow's death needed to be beyond upsetting, and you made it that way. It was beautifully written, but now I need to read something happy....

I am a huge fan of Willow (as evidenced in the majority of fan fiction I write) and always have been. I was very upset to see her die in this story, but would like to thank you for the death you gave her. If it had been a simple death it would have been harder for me to accept, but you had Angelus kill her in a twisted yet beautiful way. So thank you for that! Second, seeing Oz's heart breaking adds to the pain factor, because we all know how much Oz loved Willow. To see Spike slip into a more human role than he would like is also touching. Your descriptions of Buffy's feelings were probably the most vivid and deeply moving. Tears formed in my eyes as I read the agony Buffy was experiencing. I love the "rain" imagery! How it would rain and wash everything away- that was beautiful! Good job, update very soon, because I want to see what Spike does. (and please, please don't kill him!) -Marissa

Why Willow?! Why?! I think the choice of picking Willow to be the one kidnapped was geniuos! Everybody loves Willow! I can only imagine the tortures Angelus will put her through before finally killing her! This chapter was a very good "suspense building" chapter, you have the suspense of Buffy and Spike making their union official, the suspense of 'what are the Order planning' and now the added suspense of what is going to happen to Willow? As always you have lovely diction and imagery, and your story is well developed. I am looking forward to reading the next chapter! Good job! -Marissa

It is obvious that they both love each other very much. So...when the "copulation" actually occurs, Buffy becomes immortal? That's neat, is it going to happen soon-because by the way things ended in this chapter, Buffy is ready to go! That end was really sweet and beautiful, but, like Buffy, I'm annoyed by Spike protecting Buffy so much. She's the Slayer, and yeah Angelus is strong, but A) she's proved multiple times in btvs season 2 that she can kick his ass, and B) I don't quite get the "he'll use us against each other" thing. Sure, I get that when Buffy hurts, Spike hurts, and vice versa. But if only one of them's fighting it doesn't seem like it would make much of a difference....

Well…I must say…Angelus is a jerk! I couldn’t believe he would say the things he said….well actually I could believe, I had just hoped against it! I was as shocked as Buffy when Spike said “I love you”. I think that is a sign of good writing! I was completely connected to the characters (all of them, even Angelus) and I understood their feelings. My mouth gapped open when I read “I love you” This chapter was bitter sweet, I hated that Angelus tried to ruin everything for Buffy and Spike, but at the same time I was happy their love was tested, because it forced Spike to finally verbally admit that he loved her, and I think it helped Buffy to see how much she loves him in return. Good writing, I am (eternally) looking forward to the next chapter! -Marissa

This was a very emotional chapter. On the one hand, you had the funny comedy of the beginning. (you did a perfect Willow by the way!) And then you have the heartbreaking feelings in the middle, while Buffy is explaining her feelings for Spike to Willow. And finally you have the happiness/apprehension/sadness that comes with Spike's appearance at the end. It was perfectly balanced on the emotional rollar-coaster spectrum! I really enjoyed it (I'm still loving the eloquence of your writing) and I am very excited to watch Buffy's and Spike's relationship continue to grow. I hope Buffy is nearing her decision making point, because the suspense is killing me! Good job, update soon! -Marissa

I've shared many a pint of good old Ben and Jerry's with friends! I really liked this chapter, and the inner turmoil that Buffy is facing right now. The thought of immortailty is not only scary to her, but it puts her a position where she will be forced to be a Slayer forever. But if anyone in the history of Slayers was strong enough, it is her. She is already unique, in the fact that she found her vampire mate (and at a very young age!) I thought it was so sweet to start this chapter off with Spike making breakfast. I can totally see him cooking for her! Then came the uncertainity in the middle of the chapter, and the sad mope fest with the best friend! Again, I enjoyed the chapter, and of course am looking forward to the next one! -Marissa

So, it's time for my latest review! I, of course, loved this chapter! I'm unsure of Buffy's mixed feelings...I hope she ends up staying with him. I know she is the Slayer and all, but hey, it could work! It was a very sweet ending to a very sweet earlier chapter. I like that he spent the night in the bed with her, and they woke up in each others arms. Very beautifully written *as always!* and great grammer and flow! I am very excited about the next chapter.
