holy crap! this was soooo good. i would of liked to see this as an episode or movie. this is so good. you are one crazy writer!
Author's Response: Thank you, thank you very much. I would like to see this as an episode or movie myself - or, more appropriately, a trilogy of movies. The fact that'll never happen (see one of my other review replies for the reason none of us can entertain that particular ambition) is why we all got into fanfic. |

Oh my god... that story was intense. I remembered reading it and I had to keep on doing it.
It just answers all the injustice Buffy went through. Belia had hit the hammer on the nail with the accussations and Buffy wasn't herself so she's in character.
You also didn't bash the characters and showed their flaws at the same time. That's very hard for anyone to do, even professional writers.
What really got me was in the end when Angel was berating Xander for his behavior in one of his long speeches and the response was priceless.
You really should do this professionally or better yet submit this triology to a publisher.

Author's Response: Thank you. Intense was my goal. And those injustices definitely needed answering - I wrote this story because I finally realized (in S4), that some important issues from S3 and even S2 would never be resolved, or even faced. I figured that the best one to make our heroes face those issues was an outside force that had no love for any of them - something that ME itself has used villains for - and so Belial was brought in. I'm glad that I was able to highlight the characters' flaws without "bashing" them. I always try to be fair to the characters, if only because nothing blunts criticism for a character more than attacking a blatant strawman caricature instead of the character as they really are. As for doing this professionally - I'm trying, with some of my original work. It's hard to get a foot in the door. Unfortunately, if I submit this to a publisher, it will be returned to me unopened. Publishers hire people to do fan novels, they don't accept submissions - they're too worried that someone will sue if they read and reject a manuscript, then something similar shows up in one of their official novels or onscreen. |

What the fuck?!? How the hell did that happen? Angelus and Angel. Two different bodies. How did that happen?
Author's Response: You've probably read the chapter that explains this by now, but I've had a few people ask this even after finishing the story. So, to explain: Belial is just a hair this side of omnipotent, so removing the Angelus personality and giving it a body of its own while cursing Angel with continued vampirism is child's play. It's his method of doing so that's interesting...well, nasty...to watch. |

Dude, you have no idea how awesome this story is!!! Ok, maybe you do since you wrote it but, Holy Crap, this is fantastic!! There's a sequel? Good, Omg....is there any possible way this is going to turn B/A?
Author's Response: Thank you very much. This is the story that I got into fanfic writing to write...as far as I'm concerned, it's the "real" way that the story went. I find it satisfying myself, and I'm glad that others agree.
There is a sequel - actually, this story is just the first of a trilogy - which I'm going to start posting as soon as I'm done writing this response. Hope you like that one as much as this one.
As for B/A...keep reading. As far as I - and anyone else who's read the whole trilogy - knows, my solution to that is unique in all of the Buffy fandom. |

again i wonder why no one has reviewed this fic...it is excellent. that last chapter you posted...god that was terrific...i've never been so completely riveted by a fic...you have got a real talent...can't wait for the next post!
