"Know what?" "What?" "Chicken-butt" Good god, I miss being six!
Author's Response: Luckily my lack of maturity made it easy to write those segments!! |

Oh, and if Loki does that to Oz (heh...'Dan') again, I'll do bad things to his manhood. No-one messes with my fictional boyfriend.
Author's Response: Note to self: Never. Kill. Oz. |

The Watcher: Now with extra comedy nuns! One of my favourites so far. You did what I loved about BTVS - mixed humour and poignancy really well. I'm also finding that I care a whole lot about the characters. Xander's vision made my stomach turn: I'm so scared for Liv, as well as for Xander and Lucy's relationship. Really, just wonderful, wonderful to read.
Author's Response: So glad you liked the Nuns. They were fun to write. This episode turned out to be a bear of a writing job so it's nice to hear that you liked how it came together. |

"Get a crypt, would ya?" : You had to, didn't you? Excellent story: Altogether well assembled (it's the only word I can think of) to play off of Lucy's very legitimate concerns. I hope eventually those concerns get resolved, or maybe they never do and that's the point of the network she's got going (i.e. Xander, Maya, Buffy, etc.) As usual, looking forward to more! Great work!
Author's Response: Yep. I had to. If nothing else just so Xander can say that line.
As for Lucy and her fears... Well.... there are some things the network wil ever be able to resolve. Lucy's concerns and fears will be another theme I'll be playing with in the next few episodes. |

| Oooh noooo! Clever plan by the vamps (hench-pire: lol). The entire story is extremely well written to provoke Lisa (I mean Lucy!)'s fear of losing her daughter. Kudos! |

"They're good because they're roasted. With honey." LOL. Very Buffy. Well done.
Author's Response: Yeah. Tried the line using pretzels... Didn't work. I'm not sure what about that line makes it so Buffy. Is the fact that it's "Honey"? "Roasted"? Or because the way that they are brough together?
Sigh... It's a mystery. |

Gah! Ethan! Chocolate! *BAND CANDY!*
Write, you!
and, oh yeah, yay on the Lucy episode! Tell ya what, I'll get crackin' on Mercy Seat and Fanon Fodder, if you promise me some teenagey Xander/Lucy coming up.
And Liv. Lot's of Liv.
Author's Response: I'm so glad people like this episode. Lucy never seems to get her share of the limelight and felt it was time to give her own little episode. 'Yay you!' for liking it!
Well I guess I can go ahead and release next weeks title:
Band Candy II: The Return of Ethan Rayne
It will feature more Liv but as for the the whole teenagey Xander/Lucy... I'm sorry did you think I was going to tell you more? Bwahahaha! |

*So* pleased you updated some more. My only misgiving is the Buffy/Spike element: to me, that was always to do with Buffy losing her sense of self, and keeping their relationship platonic was a sign of how she'd grown. Besides that, I really enjoyed this ep - I've been wondering when Lucy would have to face up to the realities of having a slayer as a daughter. "Silly frog. Nobody wants your eyeballs"=Heeeeee! Buffy and her peanuts made me smile - can comlpetely see the way SMG would have delivered the dialogue. I love the way you write Xander and Lucy, and how they respond to the challenges they face. Great work, can't wait to see where you take the characters next.
Author's Response: Ahh... Frogs and Peanuts. How is it you always pick out my favorite lines?
As for the Buffy/Spike thing.... I had to throw Spike a bone (so to speak) for dealing with Audrey for so many episodes. Plus I always liked Buffy when she was unsure of how her relationships should work so. And I just had to give all those spuffy fans something to read. So glad you liked my "Lucy" episode. I never wanted her to be a Joyce-type character and lately she's been taking a back seat to the other stories. So this was my chance to bring to the forefront and I'm happy that you like it. |

This episode was ...wow...
Author's Response: Okay, in case you haven't noticed, tend to be a little neurotic.... okay I'm really neurortic. So when you say "Wow" that in the good way not the "Wow, what a load of crap" way, right? |

Loving it, loving it. I like the segmentation of the separate storyline. "Only so many mime acts you can take..." LOL! Keep it up!!
Author's Response: Just posted the update for it last night. Thanks again for letting me "borrow" Loki. Hopefully the "Gum Effect" won't muck up your plans for Thousand faces too muchy. |

Nice job! Pongo is a priceless character. It's insane how dynamic you can make a character who can pretty much just say yes or no. Loved the kiss scene with Pongo and Liv. Also loving the Oz sub-plot. Woking my way through the next episodes (in gleeful anticipation of Obedience School). Keep it up!!
Author's Response: Another Pongo lover? Can it be? The kiss scene is what happens when a puppet watches too many episodes of "Passions" and the "OC". |

Aw. Also - mental note to get ahold of that song. Also also? "Have you ever tasted a dog biscuit? It
tastes like ass. I'm not sitting for
something that tastes like ass." = me nearly snorting tea out my nose from the laughing. Also also also? Nice work. Again. I think I'll just buy a rubber stamp with that on it and have done with.
Author's Response: I always know I'm on the right track with my humor when I can make someone almost snarf a hot beverage out his or her nose.
You can find a great version of the song on The Commitments soundtrack. Hope you like old school R&B sung by Irishmen.
I have to admit that I'm not exactly happy with the outcome of this particular episode, but I'm glad to hear that you liked it. |
