Part Five

Xander awoke slowly, he had no idea where the hell he was. The last thing he remembered was Buffy knocking him out. He wondered why the hell she did that. He looked around, and then he saw her. She and Angel were sleeping in the bed, they did not have the covers up, and they were wearing the same clothes. He tried to get up, but found that he was chained to the wall. The chains clinked together, which woke them both up. Buffy's eyes flew open, followed by Angel's.

"About time. I was starting to get worried." She said to him sarcastically. Buffy sat up and walked over to him, followed by Angel. "Angel…" She said turning to him. "…What do you think I should do to him?" She asked.

"You caught him, its your choice. I prefer to torture people though." He said with an evil smile.

"Hey, Buff, what are you talking about?" He said nervously. She turned to him, with a confused look.

"Oh, that's right, you were unconscious when I said it. I'm a vampire." She said laughing to herself. Xander eyes grew extremely wide, but then dark.

"I hate you, you Bastard." His voice started to grow, as he yelled at Angel. "I knew I could not trust you!" Xander added. Angel just smiled.

"It wasn't him, you idiot. It was me." He said smiling. Xander’s face only shone confusion.

"Huh?" He asked.

"Do we have to explain everything? When I had a soul me and Buffy, well, you already found that out, but that made me lose my soul. That's when I turned her into a vampire. So, it wasn't him who did it. You can trust that guy, too bad he's gone." He said with sarcastic sympathy.

"I will really miss the guy." She said sarcastically. Xander's face was blank, he did not know what to do, or for that matter say.

"Now…" Buffy started, pulling him up by his hair. "…What to do with you."

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!" Xander whined, as she lifted him up eye level with her.

"Do you still like me now, Xand?" She asked him innocently. He laughed nervously. She punched him in the face, making his nose bleed.

Angel watched happily as Xander became more bloody with every punch, and kick Buffy gave to him. Xander was almost dead once Buffy took the shackles off his wrist.

"How do you feel now, Xand?" She asked him, with a cheery smile.

"Never better." He whispered weakly, through his bloody lips.

"Ah, that's the good old Alexander Harris I know." She replied. A light knock came from the door. Angel went over and answered. He was slightly surprised to see Spike & Dru at the door.

"Just wanted to know what you guys were do-…" Spike started, but stopped when he saw Xander. "Well, well, nice work Buffy." He said to him. She smiled at him.

"Why thank you Spike, your too kind." She said sarcastically. He faked a smile at her.

"Spike, I'm hungry." Drusilla said, pulling on Spike's arm. Spike looked at her and smiled.

"Well then, why don't we go find something to eat." He replied. Drusilla smiled from ear to ear.

"Goodie!" She shrieked, and ran out of the room. Angel rolled his eyes, and Buffy just ignored her.

"Now…back to you." She said turning to a bloody Xander, with a evil smile. She punched him one more time, his body suddenly became lifeless in her arms. "Opps! I think I killed him." She said with phony fear.

"Good one, Buffy. Now we can't have any fun." Angel said sarcastically. Buffy dropped him, letting his dead body hit the floor with a thump.

"Shall we follow in Spike & Dru’s footsteps now?" She asked Angel, not taking another look at the dead body that lay next to her.

"Sounds like a good idea to me."

Willow sat on her bed, her feet tucked under her. The room was covered in crosses, and garlic. Luckily, her parents were out of town. She felt awful, no terrible, she felt worse then words could describe. She had left Xander, she had left Xander's for the dogs. Well actually not dogs, Buffy and Angel aren't dogs, there vampires. A tear fell down her face as she thought of Buffy & Angel. She felt so bad, and to know she would never see Buffy's wonderful smile as she came into a room, or Angel's pretty brown eyes. Then there was Xander, she would miss him so much, and it was her fault. If she had just tried…what was she thinking, if she had tried, she would be exactly where Xander was, probably dead. She put her head in her hands, and sobbed.

. . .

As Cordelia drove home in her car, her mind drifted to Xander. She wanted to keep her mind of him, it was the only thing she could do to keep herself from bursting out, and crying. She was almost home, she was anxious to get there. The whole ride she felt as if somebody was watching her. Before she left the library, Giles had given her millions of crosses, and holly water bottles for protection. At the moment she was wearing a cross necklace. As she neared the traffic light she gripped the steering wheel. The street was totally deserted. It was pretty late at night, she didn't expect there to millions of people on the roads. A shadow fell over her, she jumped and looked up to see Angel.

"Well hello, Cordelia, fancy meeting you here." Angel said with a evil smile. She felt like she was frozen, she was too scared to do anything. Angel opened the door, and took the key out of the ignition. He threw them on the ground. She tried to scramble out the other door, but he grabbed her hair, and pulled her back. "Your not playing fair, Cords."

"I don't want to play." She said, grabbing a cross, and sticking in it in his face. He jumped back, and growled at her. While she had the chance, she opened a bottle of holy water, and threw it at him. "Bastard!" She yelled at him. She grabbed her key's, slammed the door, locked it, and drove off.

He watched as she drove off. "Dammit!" He cursed. "Well, there's a side of Cordelia I've never seen."

"Don't you just hate crosses?" Buffy said coming up behind him, she had been waiting in the bushes.

"Not like you could have done any better." He replied. He was right, the girl must have had a army of religious items with her.

"I know." She sighed. "Shall we go home?" She asked him. She was pretty tired, killing Xander had taken up most of her sleepy time.

"Okay, but before we do…Do you want to leave a Xander present at Willow’s door." He said smiling at her.

"I like how your mind works."
