As Buffy and Spike catch their breaths after a round of boisterous
vampire/slayer sex, they engage in a brief, but serious conversation
about their relationship, and bring up the issue of trust. Later,
Buffy asks Tara to check into the spell that brought her back to
find out why Spike can hit her. The Troika test their latest gizmo,
a mind-controlling orb, on Warren's ex-girlfriend to turn her into
a sex slave, but the plan backfires, resulting in her death, and
the trio frames Buffy for murder. Buffy decides to turn herself
in, despite Dawn and Spike's pleas. Spike tries to stop her from
throwing her life away again, but she verbally and physically thrashes
him. While at the police station, Buffy realizes Warren is behind
the murder. Later, Buffy learns she didn't "come back wrong," and
is forced to confront the wrongness of her behavior toward Dawn
and Spike. Distraught, Buffy breaks down and confesses her relationship
with Spike to a supportive Tara.
