This has everything, made me laugh, made me cry, made me wish this had happened on telly. A really good twist on events of series 4. I wonder how this would effect events in series 5....

Author's Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! Thank you! In S5, I think what would have happened is that Spike would have bribed some demons to kill Ben, thus removing Glory from existence. (He couldn't do it himself as I had him do at the end of 'Running Wild', since the chip is still in place) With Glory out of the way, Buffy wouldn't have to die and be resurrected and so there wouldn't have been a First Evil. Regan, being a powerful Wicca, could remove the chip, setting Spike free, and she would also certainly teach Willow not to misuse her powers. Everything would change for the better.

Like it. This is something I've wondered about too. I don't know if Dru ever sired anyone else, but the two we know about (Spike and Darla) both ended up doing spiritually pure things. Neither of them were typical vampires, could be to do with the Master's blood line, or maybe it's just down to Dru - the whole innocent/insane thing.
Do write some more, you have a talent for the reality of it.
