Granted, some fics are bad. Really bad. But are flames really necessary? If we listen to the flamers, we'd never develop as writers. That being said, I've decided to share some of my flames here so you can see that we all get them and that most of them make the flamer look bad. At least as bad as the fic they're flaming. *g*
So this was my first flame ever, and it was on posted on Fanfiction.net in response
to Dawn's Letter to Angel.
That was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo[insert 30 more o's here]o fricken retarded. Way to not capture the characters eccense. Yeah like Dawn would Ever say that stuff and Angel would act so brain dead. If you are planning to write anything else do yourself a favor and don't. I usually say I LOVE YOU in all my reveiws, even the bad ones but I won't even bother this time. -- ScoobyGal55
Needless to say, I didn't do myself the favor of not writing anymore... And I'm not sure what I like more about about this flame, the excessive use of 'o' in "so" (which I edited out because they caused my site design to do odd things) or that I haven't captured the character's "eccense". I'm not sure quite how to do that anyway... What exactly is "eccense"? Granted, this fic is rather bad, but still I'm not sure that someone that can't spell should be telling others not to write.
