End of Days: Welcome to the Hellmouth

by BelovedSlayer

Buffy just stared directly at her true love, Angel. She couldn't believe that he was the Hellmouth's human form.

It felt like deja vu all over again, bringing back painful memories of the time she had to be forced to kill her love in order to seal Acathla.

She had killed him once, but Buffy knew in her heart that she couldn't take having to kill the man she loved again. She couldn't. It would be like her dying instead of him.

"You didn't expect this coming did you lover?" Angelus smiled, his evil eyes glowing a fierce red.

He stalked towards her, a cocky smirk showing on his face. Buffy didn't say anything. A tear began to fall from her eye.

"What's wrong? Don't have the strength to kill me again, my love? you still love me don't you? Don't even bother lying.

I can read your mind. I know you still want me. I can feel it." Angelus stared at the Slayer with bitter hatred, but also with something like interest.

"Too bad your boyfriend isn't here with you. What a shame. Now I'm gonna have to kill you."

Buffy looked at her love sadly, but then determination crossed her face. This wasn't the man she loved. This was the evil that had overcome Sunnydale and made her a Slayer to combat it.

This was the evil that took her lover away from him. This ws the evil that wanted the world to end for good.

As Angelus came closer to the Slayer, Buffy felt her body growling with rage at the sight that made her into what she was. Who she was.

When Angelus came closer, she managed to kick him in the gut with all her might, her face snarling at the same time.

"No, my love. Now I'm gonna have to kill you!" was all she said before she landed on top of Angelus, pummeling him with her new strength.

This time, Angelus wasn't laughing at her. He simply stared, wondering how the Slayer had become that much stronger since the last time he saw her.

His nose was actually starting to bleed, but he didn't notice. He was actually struggling to get the Slayer off of him.

Love made you do that. It made you become much more stronger, more protective. That was how Buffy felt.

She felt angry that the Hellmouth had to put Angel through that once again, knowing he was already struggling to stop loving his Slayer, the woman he had loved the most. The one that had showed him true love.

But now all of that didn't matter. All that mattered was to save Angel and destroy this thing.

Buffy continued to punch and kick Angelus until Angelus managed to zap her with his powers.

Buffy flew across the park, landing in front of a tall bush. Blood was already dripping from the corner of her mouth.

She was pissed. She grabbed her Sword, knowing that it was the one thing that would stop Angelus. She felt Angel's Medallion jingled in her necklace, making sure she didn't drop it.

"What's wrong lover? Don't wanna fight me?" the Slayer teased, ready to kill.

"You can't kill me," Angelus taunted, holding on to a sword that he hid under his clothes.

"Well, I did it once. I can do it again. No problem."

Angelus just smiled at her, somehow admiring her bravery.

"Well that's would i expect from fighting a warrior for the Powers That Be like youself. All noble and brave. You're going to die."

Angelus ran towards the Slayer, his game face on. Buffy replied by using the Sword to slash his arm. Angelus looked down on his arm, snarling.

"You're gonna pay for that," he growled. "I don't think so," was all the Slayer said when she heard the Sister Oracle's voice again. "Slayer, now's your chance. He's vulnerable.

Stake the Sword through his dead heart. It will destroy the Hellmouth for good."

What about Angel? Buffy replied telepathically. "After you stake him, placed his Medallion around his neck. It should break the spell. But you have to do it with your love for him."

Buffy nodded, her left hand holding on to the necklace.

"Now its time for you to be gone for good," she said before she pierced the Sword into the heart, blood dripping around the wicked blade. Angelus looked down, not believing what he was seeing.

"You..." he growled. "That teach you never to mess with us. I told you I would kill you and I did. Now it's time for you to be gone forever."

Angelus dropped to the ground, screaming in pain and at the same time, white light flashed from his eyes and body when Buffy stood on top of him, placing his Medallion around his neck.

She placed her lips to his, giving him her love and tenderness..

Monsters around her were being destroyed, all screaming in high pitch sounds as the redness from the moon disappeared, giving off just a regular silver kissed glow.

"Would you look at that?" Xander replied. The whole gang looked around, pleased that all the evil monsters and demons were gone.

"She did it. "I'll be damned," Watcher Giles said, obviously pleased with his Slayer.

"Way to go Buffy!" cheered Cordelia. Xander turned to look at her.

"Now Cordy, was that a real cheer or a fake one? cuz I can give you some pointers on how to cheer fo real," he quipped.

Cordelia looked at him with her evil glaze. "Oh shut up Xander." she elbowed him in the ribs. Xander just gave her a painful smile but then held onto her hand.

Cordelia looked down and placed her hand in his, weirdly smiled at him and placed her head on his shoulder which Xander kissed.

Oz and Willow did the same thing. "Are you okay?" he asked softly. Willow just looked at him, smiling. "Yeah I am.

Thanks to her. It's too bad we don't have those Slayer powers anymore though."

"Yeah I agree. It was pretty cool."

The whole gang walked towards their Slayer, their Champion. Thier facial expressions were pleased with what she did. She destroyed the Hellmouth forever.

"You guys okay?" she asked, placing Angel on her lap and then kissed his forehead while at the same time, caressing his face. He hasn't woken up yet.

"Yeah we are. Are you ok?" asked Willow gently.

"Yeah I am. He is too but now I'm just waiting for him to wake up."

They did it. They destroyed the Hellmouth for good. Nothing was ever gonna be the same again. The full moon glowed brightly on them, making the scene look very peaceful.

"We did it. We destroyed the Hellmouth," Giles said, pleased.

"Yeah we did. Thanks to you guys and the Powers for helping us," Buffy replied smiling.

"Were you fighting the human form?" asked Xander.

"Yep. The Oracles said that only the Champions of the Powers can fight it and so I did and now it's gone for good," Buffy released a sigh of air looking down at her beloved Angel. She kissed his forehead again.

Then The Oracles appeared once again, still dressed in gold and blue swirls.

"We are pleased with what you did, Slayer, our Champion. Now may your lives fill with peace and love for each other.

You Slayer and honorable Champion, may be relieved of your duties. You are no longer the warrior for the Powers. You are now a normal girl.

As for the other Champion Angel, he will waked up in a minute, completely human. He will no longer be a vampire. He is also relieved of his duties as our warrior. He is normal just like you Slayer.

You two have made us and the Powers very proud. The Powers That Be's two greatest warriors. We will never forget you. Take care of your loved ones dear Slayer. And thank you to all who helped the Slayer in her battle. Take care."

The Oracles disappeared. There was laughter and excitement buzzing within the group.

"Finally, now i can go shopping and sleep and socialize," said Cordelia, the Queen of Sunnydale Hgh.

"Yeah we all agree. We got normal lives now," replied Willow, hugging all the firends and kissing her Oz.

Everything went silent when Angel's eyes begn to move. In a few seconds, his eyes opened, looking straight up at Buffy.

"Buffy," he whispered. "Shhh. It's alright. You're okay now," she soothed, kissing his lips and crying at the same time.

Angel placed his hand on his chest, feeling something that he haven't felt for over 240 years. His heart beat.

"I'm alive. I'm human again," was all that he said, looking shocked.

"Yeah you are and now you're mine, my love. I love you so much," Buffy kissed him alot.

"I love you too," he whispered, sitting up and placing his former Slayer against him, kissing her.

Giles, Willow, Oz, Xander, and Cordelia walked up closely behind the star crossed lovers, all three of the couples holding hands and kissing each other.

Xander and Cordelia were bickering but kissing and snuggling, so did Oz and Willow, and last but not lease Buffy and Angel, their Champions.

Giles looked on at the couples, pleased and happy that his Slayer no longer had to fight the forces of Darkness anymore.

All of them sat near the large oak tree, looking up at the darkened sky, stars twinking brightly above them as a shooting star blazed across the sky. Buffy and

Angel smiled and kissed, pointing at the sky. They all had normal lives now. They no longer had to worry about fighting vampires of demons. It was all ancient history now.

The Hellmouth was gone, now and forever. And Buffy and Angel and the rest of the gang lived on happily ever after I think.

The End.
