Hell has cometh: Vortesse demons. Yeauch!

"Yeah. Anyway I......" suddenly, she blacked out.

When she came to, she was lying on the couch in Angel’s office. It was night and the only one around was Angel.
He was sitting at his desk, surrounded by books and what she referred to as tomes.
“Hey.”
When she spoke, he looked up and came over to her.
“Hey. How are you feeling?” he asked.
“I’m ok. How long have I been out?” she asked as she slowly sat up.
“About 6-7 hours, give or take.”
“Wow. You’re not kidding me.”
She saw the books again and motioned to them. “So what are you doing?”
“We have 4 bodies, each with different organs or body parts removed.”
“Hmm. Sounds like a Vortesse demon. Very ancient. But very stupid.” She said as she stood up.
“So what do they do with the body parts?” Angel asked as he reached out to steady her as she wobbled. “Ok sit down.”
“No I…I’m ok.” She said as she pushed his hands away.
But when she started to walk, her legs collapsed out from under her. Angel scooped her up and carried her back to the couch before she hit the ground.
Score one for vampire reflexes.
“Will you just stay put!?”
“I’m ok!”
“No. Your not.” Angel said as he brushed his fingers over her cheek.
“Now lie down.”
”I can’t! I feel useless! Please, can I help?”
“Ah. Why not.” Angel said as he brought the books and tomes over to the couch and sat next to her.
And so began the long night of research and no sleep.

The next day they were still at a dead end.
“This is hopeless!” AJ said frustratedly as she threw down the last book which, like all the others, had held no information on the demon. “We’ve been up all night and still nothing!”
“Damnit. This is becoming a problem.”
“And I may just have the answer! Giles!” AJ said excitedly.
“What about him?”
“He and Willow and the others are restoring the Watchers Council. If we can maybe get a hold of them then they may be able to…what?”
She stopped when she noticed Angel staring at her, but not really paying any attention to what she was saying.
