Note: Sorry I haven’t updated, I had a bunch of projects at school and I'll be gone next week so I'm updating everything. I know we didn't know Amy was a witch, but she could've been one in the second season. And as always please read + review!
All the scoobies gathered together in the library to get more information on the diamond…or so they thought. “This is indeed the diamond of Vashti,” Giles announced gravely lowering his eyes.
“Okay so I’ll make with the smashing,” Buffy replied about to throw the diamond at the wall.
“No! If you smash it Casilda will be released,” Giles told sharply told Buffy who lowered the diamond onto the table.
“Oh.”
“You all can go, I’ll research more on Casilda,” Giles said distantly.
“Before you guys go,” Buffy called to the departing scoobies, “I just have to say I’m dating Spike. Bye,” Buffy quickly said before running out of the door.
“Did you guys just hear what I heard,” Xander asked the horrified scoobies, they nodded,
“Thought so.”
Buffy was very confused, so she went to the one person that made sense to her, Spike. Buffy walked into her kitchen only to find her Mom and Spike talking over hot cocoa.
“Buffy, your home, Spike was just telling me that you’re dating,” Joyce explained narrowing her eyes. “Guess were not going to have small talk first,” Buffy thought, “It’s now or never.”
“I was going to tell you, but you haven’t been home,” Buffy defended weakly.
“Well, I’m happy for you,” Joyce said simply.
“What? I’m glad your okay with it though I wish my friends had taken it better. I left right after, but the looks on their faces, like I had betrayed them. If they can’t deal it’s their loss,” Buffy sincerely told Spike.
“You’d give up your friends for me love?” Spike asked taken aback at how much she cared.
“If they’re my real friends they’ll get over it,” Buffy stated looking into his eyes.
“I think I’ll leave you two alone,” Joyce announced receiving a grateful glance from Buffy.
“Missed you,” Buffy murmured sitting in Spike’s lap.
Running his fingers through her hair he replied, “Missed you too pet. Before we go out do you want to patrol?”
“Sure,” came the sweet voice he had come to adore. The pair went on patrol to secure there date be uninterrupted by all demons besides Spike.
Standing in the middle of the cemetery Buffy silently waited for the vampires that would obviously try to kill her.
Sure enough a group of vampires made a circle around Spike and her, “Slayer,” a vamp growled as he approached her.
Giving the vampires a smile Spike knew all too well Buffy held her fists up and lectured the undead between punches.
“Hasn’t your mother ever told you,” she kicked a vampire hard in the stomach, “Not to go out in cemeteries after dark? Because you never know what will be lurking around,” she advised before staking all of the vampires while making it seem effortless.
“Now that I’ve rid the world of unspeakable evil that could eventually be the cause of the end of the world, wanna go out?” Spike grinned at her, took her hand in his and led her into the woods.
“Where are we going?” Buffy asked, shivering from the cold.
Putting his arm around her to warm her Spike replied, “You’ll see.” Leading her onto a hill Buffy gasped, on the hill there was a clearing bathed in moonlight where there were blankets on the grass, candles and pizza.
“Pizza?” Buffy asked, her eyebrows raised.
“Sorry ‘bout that ‘s just I can’t cook, but I stirred the hot chocolate mix,” Spike admitted.
“It’s perfect, I love it really, and anyway you haven’t had to eat for over a century so why would you cook?”
As if falling in love all over again Spike kissed Buffy passionately, there tongues tangled together, Buffy felt warm even though he was cold, she never wanting it to end.
When they broke apart Buffy took his hand and they laid on the blankets, Spike’s arms around her. It was the best night of Buffy’s life the stars, him everything.
They left before the sun came up, so Buffy had to go to school and face her friends.
The next day at school Buffy tentatively opened the door to the library to find all her friends [and Cordelia] at a table looking at her, “I know you guys are mad at me but did I not get some memo?”
“We were deciding how to talk you out of this temporary insanity of going out with Spike,” Xander said harshly, cringing when he said the bleached blonde vampire’s name.
“You know telling someone there crazy isn’t usually going to score you points.”
Buffy retorted, fire in her eyes, “I came here to try to make up, what was I thinking, why would my best friends give me support and be happy for me!”
“What do you expect! He’s tricking you Buffy! As soon as the spell wears off he’ll be back to being an evil bloodsucker,” Xander yelled.
“Spike would never hurt me! He loves me and I love him!”
She paused as if waiting for someone else to yell at her, no one did so she yelled at them,
“I don’t have to take this from you, I’m going.”
“Going where?” Giles asked sternly.
“Well now I think I’ll go see Spike!”
She didn’t go see Spike, she just wanted them to think she was, no her destination was completely different, Amy.
Buffy spotted her semi friend in the sea of people, “Amy,” she called out.
“Buffy! Hey how are you doing,” Amy answered happily.
“Not to good, that’s why I’m came, I need your help.”
Amy looked a surprised but none the less compliant, “Sure what do you need.”
Buffy lowered her voice before saying, “A spell.”
