Chapter 5
LA 2004: Wolfram and Hart
"Angel!" Wesley yelled as he ran to Angel's office. "What is it Wesley?"
"I've retranslated the shansu Propecy. But it's changed. It says now that a vampire with a soul will stop the first and become human. While the other vampire with a soul will become the head of the ultimate evil and recieve a son. Only if he can kill the mother of his child will he become human." Wesley said as he closed the book and set it down. Angel looked down and began to think. He knew he already had a son whose mother killed herself to save her child. But he hadn't been head of the ultimate evil until recently. "Wesley is there any way of finding out who the mother of my child is and when we're going to create this said child?"
"Well we can ask the mystics, but I'm not sure."

Well let's ask them and then do some research."
"Ok. Wait Angel couldnt we just have you sing for Lorne?"
Angel looked at him. "I cant, remember? My future is hidden under a cloaking spell."
"Then it looks like you could use a witch." Angel and Wesley looked at the door as Willow walked in.

London 1904- 2 months later
"Little girl you have no idea what you're dealing with." The vampire said as he walked up to Daphne.
"You know what. I think I do." She got up and punched him in the nose, then she kicked him across the street.
"He'll get you eventually." The vampire said as he got up.
"Who?" Daphne said as she raised her stake.
"Angelus." The vampire said before Daphne staked him. For the last month Daphne had run into atleast 20 of Angelus's minons all saying the same thing. "You want me Angelus?! Come and get me!" Daphne screamed into the night. She waited a few minutes for a reply then began to head home.
"Mum I'm home." Daphne said as she walked in and shut the door. Ever since her father had died, her mother had barely left the house. "Mum?" Daphne said as she walked into the living room.
"Daphne." Elizabeth said as she walked over to her daughter.
"Mum what's wrong?" She said after she hugged her mom.
"Honey, Adam was here and he told me that um."
"What's wrong mom?"
-Knock-
"I'll be right back." Daphne said as she answered the door. "Adam." She said when she saw Adam on the other side.
"Hello dear. Are you alright?"
"I will be once Mum says what she needs to say."
"Oh. Well come on. I'll tell you if she can't." She nodded as Adam led her to the living room. He askedd her to sit in a chair then knelt in front of her.
"Daphne now promise me that you wont go crazy when I tell you this."
"I promise."
"Daphne I was walking along the bridge over Luther lake and I saw a fight. But by the time I got there it was too late. Nick is dead Daphne. A bunch of muggers killed him."
Daphne looked at her mom and finally noticed the red under her eyes. "Oh my god." Daphne said as she fell onto Adam.

LA 2004- Spike's Apartment
Daphne had woke up in Spike's bed after having the dream. "Oh Nick." She said as she rolled over. After crying for a few minutes she looked around for Spike. When she saw he was on the balcony she decided to leave him alone.

Spike was glad that tonight was quiet, because he'd felt he'd had enough excitment for one night. He took a hit off his cigarrette and stomped it out. 'Not enought' he thought as he staired out into the street. Suddenly Spike noticed a woman entering his building. He wouldnt normally have paid attention but he felt drawn to this her. Spike sighed. 'Might as well check up on Daphne.' He headed inside and shut the door.
-Knock-
Spike looked up when he heard the knock on his door.
"Listen Angel I told you I'll take her in the..." Spike didnt even finish his sentence because who he opened the door to was not who he expected to find.
"Buffy."

Buffy had found the building easy, but finding the apartment was harder. "Excuse me. Can you help me find room 219A?" Buffy asked the man at the door.
"Down this hall, it's the last door on the left."
"Thanks." She followed the man's directions and came to a nice looking hall. '219...Ok here goes.' Buffy thought as she knocked on the door.
"Listen Angel I told you I'll take her back in the..."
'Wait I know that voice.' Buffy thought as Spike opened the door.
"Buffy." Was all she heard before she passed out.

Authors note: In case any of you are wondering I didnt make Daphne's brother's death that big because right now it doesnt really fit. But trust me in the next chapter it will. And dont worry there is still some spuffy to come. Oh and for those of you who are wondering exactly why Daphne is here...all your questions will soon be answered.
