Buffy RPG: Part 7

Buffy sighed deeply. As much as she would have liked to, she couldn't ignore Cordelia. A vampire that tried to capture a Scooby's girlfriend during the daylight was not the norm, and it was her responsibility to investigate.

'Alright' she said. 'Cordelia, what happened?'

'Well, I was in the ladies room, checking out my hair after some gross geek checked me out-' Cordelia rushed.

'Buffy cleared her throat, whilst Xander looked livid.

'-when I heard this weird noise from inside a cubicle.'

'Figures' said Oz.

'Anyway, I was like, yeuch, and was just about to touch up my mascara when this vampire leaped out on me, grabbed me with his muddy hands, and then before I could scream, he let me go for some reason. It may have been that strange voice in the vent...'

'Strange voice?' asked Buffy quickly.

'Yeah, seemed kind of familiar, but anyway, he just disappeared and left me there! And god I just can't get over it!'

Cordelia collapsed into a surprised Xander, who patted her back awkwardly.

'How am I ever going to get another sweater like this!' Cordelia wailed. 'It was a designer original!'

'Oh, the tragedy', said Willow wryly. Buffy rolled her eyes.

'Okay, Cordelia, we've got to see Giles. He'll know what to do'

'Oh Buffy, not that library again. I hope you realise my social life is on it's deathbed here.' Cordelia grumbled.

Buffy glared. 'I don't think you're in a position to argue.'

The five entered the library to find an energetic Giles moving between the stacks.

'Oh Buffy', he welcomed, holding a pile of books. 'I've been researching about Maphius, and-'

'Giles, we have a problem,' Buffy interrupted. 'Cordelia had a sort-of incident in the bathroom, and-'

'Am I really the right person for this?' said Giles, taking off his glasses in surprise.

'For this problem, yes' she ascertained. Cordelia sniffled.

After they had retold the entire story, with new addition from Queen C herself, Giles fell silent in thought.

'It's a trap', he muttered. 'Someone..thing...is trying to bait you, Buffy. Inside this very school. We must take extreme caution'

'But what if it's some wacko vampire on the loose?' Willow objected. 'Then the entire school could be in danger!'

'That vampire owes me big-time' Cordelia said bitterly. 'I say Buffy slays'

'Giles has a point' said Xander doubtfully. 'Vamps like to play mousetrap with Buffy. Look what happened last time, when Cordelia was kidnapped and those vampires led Buffy into one big trap. Maybe we should wait'

'It could be a grand plan of Maphius', Giles insisted.

'maybe' shrugged Oz vaguely. 'Maybe not'.

They all looked at the Chosen One.

'Why'd I have to make all the difficult decisions?' Buffy whined.

*CHOICES*

1) Don't look for the vampire. It could be a trap. It's far too risky.

2) It's too risky not to hunt the vamp down. Find it before it strikes again.
