Love at First Sight: The One With The Angelic Face

by BelovedSlayer

Buffy tried to pushed Angel softly in front of her as soon as they stood in front of Mrs. Walker's class, but it was no use. Little Angel was too shy to even start walking to the front door.

He hid behind little Buffy, placing both hands on her shoulder, but Buffy didn't mind. She smiled to herself and though it was really cute.

"What's wrong Angel? Don't worry, you're not gonna go to class by yourself. I'll be there with you," Buffy planted a soft kiss on Angel's left cheek, seeing Angel blush with fiery intensity.

He smiled so sweetly at her, then looked down while shuffling his small feet. Buffy went on to hug him.

"It's all right Angel. If you want, I'll hold your hand. Just follow me from behind," replied Buffy, pulling Angel behind her as she opened the door and entered her classroom, seeing all her friends playing with crayons and coloring.

Mrs. Walker walked right up to the little kids, mostly little Buffy and her sweet Angel." Hello, Buffy. This must be Angel. Nice to meet you and welcome to our class," Mrs. Walker said in a very friendly voice, shaking Angel's small hand. Angel couldn't help but smile at her.

"He's so adorable. If you want Angel, you can sit at the corner with Buffy until we find a new seat for you," Mrs. Walker smiled again then turned to help her other students struggling to finish painting something.

"See Angel? It wasn't so bad. And don't worry, I'll protect you. I'll make sure no boys will pick on you here," replied Buffy stubbornly.

"Th...Thanks Buffy. Thanks for helping me," Angel replied back sweetly, his face still blushing from the kiss earlier but he didn't try to hide it.

Without noticing, little Angel planted a kiss on Buffy's pink cheek, the second one he has given her the past day or so. Buffy smiled, this time it was her turn to blush.

"What was that for?" she asked, looking straight at his beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

"That was for helping me and making friends with me," replied Angel shyly, still holding on to Buffy's hand. "And I got something for you Buffy."

"What did you get me?" Buffy asked excitedly. Angel pulled out a small velvet box and opened it for her. It was a silver cross. A cross hanging around a silver chain.

The same one Angel was gonna give her in the future when they first met. "Angel, it's pretty. You didn't have to give me this," cried Buffy, happiness and tears started to fill her eyes.

"I...wanted to....because you saved me alot of times from those kids. You were the only one who wanted to be my friend. so that's why I got this for you. Can I put it on for you Buffy?" he asked, wanting desperately to put his necklace on her small neck. Buffy just smiled at him.

"Yes you may," she replied sweetly when she pulled her hair up, Angel grabbing the necklace and tying it around her small neck. It was a pretty big necklace and landed past Buffy's chest. Almost to her stomach.

"Thank you Angel. Thanks so much," Buffy went to hug Angel fiercely when another image suddenly popped up in her head. Buffy saw the grownup part of herself fighting what look like to be vampires or some other kind of monster.

She saw the grownup Angel actually helping her fight the monsters. He looked so tall, mysterious but more handsome than ever with his black duster hanging behind him. Little Buffy heard the word "Soulmates" ringing across her ear again.

She shook her head but she saw something growing pink in her mind. She saw her and little Angel surrounded by nothing but a pink space. What's going on, her five year old mind said to herself.

I don't know but I'm not liking this. It's scaring me Buffy, said the frightened angelic Angel. Hey I can read your thoughts...and you can read mines, Buffy thought in confusion. But it didn't matter, Angel was already scared.

Buffy ran up to hug and comfort him, seeing his small body whimper and shakened. Don't worry Angel, I'm here. I'm here to protect you, Buffy thought in reply as her small arms wrapped around Angel's small body. His brown eyes looked at her's.

Suddenly, a white explosion was formed between the two little kids, blinding both of them with a white hot intensity but Buffy found strange thoughts entering her head. Don't I know you? she asked Angel in her mind. I feel like I know you somehow. From long ago. I dont' think so, Angel thought. I don't but somehow I feel the same way.

What the kids didn't know was that something incredible was going to happened between them. Something that was very rare and was barely even heard of since the beginning of the world. Soulmates.

They didn't know that. They were too scared and too young to understand it. Two figures from the Powers That Be looked down below from the sky, watching the two future star crossed lovers looking at each other in confusion. Something incredible was coming this way. They're way.....
