Set: After Spike was put into his wheelchair, episode ‘Surprise’.
This is one short story. This whole book has different short stories.





Drusilla was in the warehouse with Spike. They’d got it all decorated for her party, she had just become strong again. Spike was rolling around in his wheelchair and checking everything was ok. They had almost all the boxes, but 2 more were on the way. Drusilla danced sexily around the guests, who all happened to be vampires. She made her way over to Spike who was chatting to some of his friends.

“Spike?” she asked. “When are my presents arriving?”

“Soon, pet, soon.”

“Can I open them now?” she asked him.

“You already took a peek earlier,” Spike said to her. “You don’t want to spoil the surprise do you love.”

Drusilla’s eyes went all misty and she swayed from side to side.

”Oooh,” she moaned quietly.

“Dru?” Spike asked. “Are you ok?”

“He’s coming, he really is,” she told him in delight.

“I know pet, the smurf’s all boxed up.”

Dru shaked her head slowly and jiggled from side to side.

“No,” Dru told Spike. “Not him, my friend… Angel.”

Spike turned his wheelchair around to face Drusilla, with a look of disgust on his face.

“That soulful, poncy sod. He’d be nothing without his hair gel,” he told Drusilla knowingly. “I don’t want gatecrashers at my party.”

“Hmmm,” Drusilla sighed. “He’s not coming now, he’s coming soon and he won’t be here to gatecrash, he’ll be one of us.

“Insight, love. He is one of us, we’re vampires.”

“But this time, he’ll be different.”
