Missing: prologue

She sensed them first, a tingling feeling. Vampires. They, there was two of them stalked her. She only saw them on a fault when she stepped under a streetlight , one had been following to close and was quickly noticed in the circle of illumination. Buffy turned unnaturally fast bring up the crossbow in her hands and firing a bolt, it hit its mark. The second vampire charged in the confusion of the first, never saw the stake she held as it rammed into his chest. “Slayer two, Vamps Zero.” she quietly mumbled as she headed towards home, it was late and a school night.
“It was just a run of the mill vamp” Buffy moaned “Yes but its your first slay in weeks, this could mean…” Giles droned “that a bigger evil might arise” Buffy finished “exactly” Giles said opening a musty book “was there anything at all different about these vamps?” Giles asked seemingly unfazed by Buffy’s boredom “does extremely stupid count?” she asked smiling slightly “now I know your were talking about me” a voice came in from the background. Buffy and Giles turned to see Willow and Xander standing in the doorway of the library. “nope, vamps” Buffy said, she grabbed her school books and headed towards the other two just as the bell rung “Bye Giles” Buffy said pushing the door and then she was gone.
Buffy was just about to give up on patrol when she heard a shrieking scream, running at full speed she saw a gray scaly demon chasing a young girl “Ewww” Buffy said loudly “you should see a doctor about the skin” she said smirking at her pun. “Slayer, we’ve been waiting” it said with a icy scratchy voice. Buffy noticed that several other demons were surrounding her, there was no escape. Buffy went into fighting stance but a blinding light caught her off guard. It engulfed the demons first, leaving no time for Buffy to react.
Buffy’s eyes shot open , “OW” she mumbled as she struggled to her feet. The room was small and painted light blue in the corner stood a wide eyed Willow. “Will, what are you doing here?… wait what am I doing here?” She asked confusion setting in, Willow just stared . “ok now your just freaking me out” Buffy said fearfully “Oh my god” Willow finally said “it really you Buffy, its really you!” She said tears welling in her eyes “yes cause that fake me walking around is really scary” Buffy said joking inappropriately . “Why wouldn’t it be me” Buffy asked, Willow just stared at her before quietly mumbling something “What?” Buffy asked Willow took a big breath “Buffy… you’ve been missing for eight years".
