This Year's Girl: Family

He said simply," you're pregnant. don't try to hide it. I can feel it from you." Buffy hesitated, then sighed. "Yeah Angel I'm pregnant. I didn't want to tell you on the phone because I was scared," she admitted, looking down on her feet. Angel put a warm hand on her stomach. It felt warm as he felt the baby kick. "Whose baby is it?," he asked, afraid to hear the answer. "It's...it's...yours." " it couldn't be Riley's because he left and we haven't done it for a while." "Oh. so it's our child? Me and yours?" Buffy sweetly replied, "In a nutshell."

"Me and you are going to become Mommy and Daddy. You're not mad, are you Angel?" "Why would I be mad, Buffy? This is going to be our child. the one thing that can at least makes our lives a lit bit happier." Buffy smiled as she slowly ran into Angel's arms, feeling nothing but warmth and safety there. Angel caressed her hair softly, kissing her forehead.

He tilted Buffy's chin, as she looked straightly at him. then slowly kissed as they both cried suddenly , wanting so much to be together and start a family of their own, after they had done so much to save the world countless times.

"Angel. I have to say something first. While I was leaving for Sunnydale after the visit, i started dreaming about stuff we might have done besides discussing that distance speech. I dreamt about stuff we might have did on that day we had.

I dreamt that you and i had made love again. i felt it was the reason why i became pregnant, even if i didn't fully understood what had happen. All the stuff that i dreamt, was it true?" Buffy pleaded, wanting to hear the truth from Angel. " Yeah, yeah it was. only you weren't supposed to remember it, Only I did. it was part of the Oracles plan to erase your memory and for me to become a vampire again because i knew your life would be risked if I didn’t have the strength to protect you." He looked at her, kissing her forehead. "So everything was real?" she asked.

"Yeah. it was." All of a sudden, Whistler appeared before Buffy and Angel, interrupting their conversation. "Whistler, what are you doing here?", asked Angel, surprised. "Giving you both what you really wanted without any catches this time around."
" What about our baby? Is he or she going to have Slayer and Vampire power in them?" asked Buffy.


"For what I know from the Powers That Be, your child will be a boy. He will have both Slayer Power and Vampire Power but he will be human, just with supernatural strength. He will be name Connor. The Powers decided that he was meant to be the child of the most powerful Slayer ever to walk the Earth and her true love, the Vampire with a Soul, Angel. Not the son of Darla and Angel. After this, you will begin a new life, changing the face of destiny forever."
"
For you Slayer, I give you this gift. You deserve it more than anyone after you had risked yourself to save your friends and the world many times. my gift to you is that Angel will finally become human for all eternity, but will still have the strength and healing of a vampire, so he can be together with you forever as long as you're alive. He will become human tonight by the first stroke of midnight."

"Angel and Buffy, Vampire and Vampire Slayer, the Champions of the Powers That Be, The Powers and I give you this gift for your sacrifice and willing to risk your lives to save others. This is to you." With that, Whistler disappeared. Buffy started crying so hard, knowing this was what she had wanted for most of her life, to be with the man she loved. For Angel becoming human once more and be happy with the woman he loved most was a blessing to him.

"I love you so much Angel. Now we can finally be together at last," she cried as she kissed him passionately. "You know how much I love you. I always love you. You're my other part of my soul, the part that lives in me, even when we were separated. With you carrying our child, now we can be together and start our own family."

Angel held Buffy as they both kissed under the silver glow of the moon, the stars shining above them, happy that they can finally be together at last.
