Just a Normal Time In Sunnydale.....: Chapter Nine
by rockangelz25
Xander twitched a little. He opened his eyes--they seemed heavy. "Hey, Xand. Glad you're awake." He squinted a little, then shook his head. It sounded like Angel... Where was he? He felt a hand grab his chin and tilt his head up. "Are you there, Xander?" It was Angel. He'd been right. Wait--Angel was bad now. This was not of the good...
"Let the boy rest a little. You're going to terrify him out of his wits."
"That's the idea, Spikey." Angelus turned around to grin at the younger vampire.
"What, scare him out of his mind? Planning on making another Drusilla out of the boy?"
"He's not my type."
Xander struggled to hear them. The few words that he could make out didn't make sense. "Boy... You're... Wits... Spikey... Mind... Drusilla... Not... Type." He groaned, trying to get the buzzing out of his head.
He blinked, then strained his eyes. He could see Angelus and Spike... Some dark figure behind them, probably Drusilla or Darla. He noticed that Angelus's back was to him. He tried to get up--maybe he could escape, but noticed that his hands were stuck. Come to think of it, so were his feet. "Damn," he muttered. Angelus, or someone, had tied him up. He tried to make out the little numbers on his watch--7:45.
School would've already started. He wondered what Buffy and Willow were doing. He wondered if Cordy was okay. He didn't really wonder about Oz--Oz didn't make much sense to begin with. He was too silent.
Were they going to come after him? Was Giles trying to find him? Then he winced, remembering that he'd yelled at Buffy about Angel before leaving the library. Buffy, Willow, and anyone else on her side. Those were probably the last things I'll get to say to them, he thought.
"How are you, Xand?" Angelus turned around to see him.
"Great. I'll be better after Buffy's finished with you, but apart from that..."
"She won't," Angelus laughed. "The Slayer," laughed the figure. It was definitely Drusilla--Xander recognized the crazy voice. "Mmm-mmm-mmm! She'll burn, and she'll scream, and she'll die, all if daddy asks her. Ask her, daddy, go on." She moved closer, tugging on Angelus's arm.
"Buffy won't kill me. I'm her lover, Xander. She loves me. You aren't even good enough for her. I'm a rabid killer--"
"Who should be put down," interrupted Xander.
"who murders her friends and terrorizes her family. But I'm better than you."
"You're--"
"Better. Face it, Xander. I screwed her, and now she's mine forever. Don't you wish that she was--"
"Shut up," said Xander.
"Don't you want her? Cordy whines and cries, she's practically worthless. But Buffy, man, she's strong. Stronger than you."
"She's stronger than you. Buffy's going to kill you." Xander's voice was a hell of a lot more confident than he actually felt.
"Keep dreaming, boy," said Darla. "The Slayer is no match for Angelus. He's been toying with her."
"But I'm done," snarled Angelus.
"I've had an idea, Xander. I'm going to make a trade. You, alive and--well, alive, for Buffy."
"What're you trying to say?" "I'm going to tell Buffy that if she doesn't surrender to me by sunset tonight, I'll torture her little friend to death. And we all know which little friend I mean, don't we, Darla?"
He turned his head slightly to look at his sire. "Hmmm." She smiled, nodded.
"Damn," Xander muttered again.
