Here I go…

“Ok… you really want to know? Then I’ll tell you.”

I pause. Is this the right thing to do? Will it really be the same? There’s only one way to find out.

“For the past god-knows-how-long, I've been... well... kind..."

Oh come on Willow, out with it!

"I've been falling for you”

His face…changes.

“I’ve been in love with you for my whole life practically, and I just can’t do it any more. I set myself up every day, just knowing that you’ll knock me down again”

Oh God.

“I can’t just sit here forever, and watch you with Buffy, and hear you talk about her, and see you falling more in love with her every day. I can’t love you silently any more.”

Why doesn’t he say something? Anything?

“I can’t be around you any more. I know we’ll still see each other every day, and our mutual friends will still be mutual, but that’s it. I can’t do it to myself any more. It hurts so much. It hurts because I know you don’t feel the same, and that you never will. I want you in my life, but it’s just better for both of us if we aren’t friends. I made you think that I wanted a friend. But I don’t. I can’t. I’m so sor…”

He interrupts me with a kiss.
