(Although the Category is "AtS" future, it also includes several of the "Buffy" characters. It picks up almost where "Not Fade Away" left off, only a little after the alleyway battle.) Gunn's wound did kill him, and Illyria's strength nearly did fade away (no pun intended) after the battle. Spike and Angel were also weakened. (Angel did slay the dragon, at least according to me.) Willow showed up in the end to help, being a powerful witch who could sense the apocalyptic battle going on.

That was all just the background, FYI. The real story starts in the next chapter.
