Los Angeles Is A Charming Town: Chapter Eight

Los Angeles

Wolfram and Hart Offices (LA branch, obviously)

Lilah paced the hall impatiently. "She isn't saying anything," she hissed at Lindsey. "If the senior partners find out that we messed with the Charmed Ones and didn't even gain anything, it's both of our necks." "Relax, Lilah. She'll talk. Won't she, Belthazor?" Lindsey turned to look at Cole. "Sooner or later," he agreed.

Cole was in human form, but refused to tell the lawyers his human name... They'd use that on Phoebe, something he didn't want to do. "So, go in there. Maybe her seeing a human will make her talk, not a demon." "No. No, she won't fall for that," Cole assured Lilah.

"Then go in there and make her talk. Torture her or something. You're the great Belthazor," Lindsey pointed out, "killer of witches. Terrorizer. So kill, terrorize." Cole looked at them, shook his head at their pathetic attempts to spur him, and morphed into Belthazor, his skin turning red and black.

He grabbed Lilah and Lindsey, one by each arm, and pushed into the room. "Talk, witch!" he bellowed, "or I kill these... innocents." Phoebe looked at the three of them, but she'd been ready. She had a plan. "What do you need to know?" she asked in a low voice. "Relinquish the Power of Three," Belthazor growled.

Phoebe levitated, kicking Belthazor in the chest and bowling him over backwards. She fell to the ground before he could get up. Lilah and Lindsey pulled away from the fallen demon. "Come on, let's go," she urgently whispered. She turned to leave when Lilah grabbed her shoulder. "Uh, where were you going, exactly?" Phoebe turned back around to see Lindsey holding a small knife in his only hand, smiling.

"If you won't give us the magic... We'll just have to take it from you."
