Twirling her stake lazily, Buffy arched an eyebrow at the vampire's futile attempts to challenge her.

'Okay', she said, 'Are you practicing "Dance Steps For the Undead', or are you just flirting with me?'.

The vampire's confidence deteriorated slightly, eying her stake nervously. Then with a low snarl, he lunged at her. She flung him off and he howled with pain as his head hit a tombstone. She knelt over him, with a stake positioned over his heart, when he cried out pitifully, 'No! No don't kill me! I'll tell you who serve! Or formerly served.' he added quickly.

If there was one thing that interested Buffy when it came to slaying vampires, it was listening to prophecies and information on the Hellmouth's latest scandal. She paused. However, vampires often made similar pleas and claims when they knew that they had lost-which led to traps and false leads...
