A/N: Hey! This the end to that cliffhanger in They came they saw they got traumitized. Sort of. This chapter is a cliffhanger all in its self. Review! Please! It makes me happy to know that people actually read my stories! Or my author notes...
He felt the fear coursing through him, and the anger, with himself. There was a part of him that kept repeating the fact that the women down in the alley may not be Buffy. But part of him, the part that always new there was something wrong told him, to run faster. He looked around as he ran just in case he saw her, waiting for him or something. He knew that was not likely which is why he kept running. If he had been human his heart would be pounding.
He saw flashing lights against the alley walls, as he drew near to the alleyway he had over heard the people in the hospital talking about. He walked deeper into the dark alley openings that would lead him to that one alleyway. Angel peered around as he got closer and saw a couple of police on the scene. He also saw two ambulances, and two police cars, there were a few people gathering around the area, curious to know what was wrong. He walked toward the yellow tape and then walked under it. He was about to go toward the part in the alleyway where he had left Buffy when a policeman standing with a cup of coffee in his hand came up to him. “Excuse me, sir but this is a crime scene and I’m going to have to ask you to step away, more toward the area beyond the yellow tape.”
Angel ignored that, “The girl who was here what does she look like?” He asked.
“Short, blonde hair…” he trailed off realizing he was giving off information he shouldn’t be giving out. “Why?” he asked
“I’m her…” he stopped not sure what he should be telling him.
“Are you Giles, Willow, Xander, Mom or Angel?” he asked as he took out a note pad and looked at it.
“I’m Angel” he answered looking at him suspiciously, “Why?”
“She was a little out of it, but she managed to call out for those names.”
“Is she okay?” Angel asked nervously
“I didn’t see her. Just heard some people over talking”, the policeman answered.
“Is she in an ambulance?”
“Yes, that one over there” he pointed to the one that was closest to the entrance of the alleyway.
Angel nodded as a thank you and walked, or ran toward the ambulance.
When Angel walked in he noticed the many buttons that were blinking around the stretcher that Buffy was on. His eyes widened as he noticed how pale she was. Her eyes where closed and she looked terrible. He immediately ran to her side and sat down right next to her and held her hand. He gently kissed her on the forehead and rubbed a strand of hair from her face. “Buffy?” he whispered hoping that that would wake her up.
“Are you related?” a voice asked behind Angel
“I’m Angel,” he said quietly looking up, a young EMT stood quiet awkwardly in the door way to the ambulance.
“Oh okay” he said nodding
“Is she okay?” Angel asked, trying to keep his voice from cracking with emotion.
“We don’t know yet, it looks like she’s in shock and unconscious but…we don’t know yet.”
The EMT walked out into and was about to close the doors when he said, “Your coming, right?”
“Of course” Angel answered and the EMT closed the doors and walked to the driver’s side, and got in. He then called to someone outside and a few minutes later started the ambulance and got out of the alleyway. Angel sat starring at Buffy. Something was coming, and it was coming after his girlfriend. That got him mad.
