Getting the Gang Back (Part.1)

“Yo D” Gunn says smacking his hand when Doyle and Wes walk up to them by the Bike rakes,
“G-man, how’s it going?”
“Wow no ones called me that since well, you left”
“That’s cause I was the only one who called you that” Doyle answers jokily, Gunn laughs,
“Hey man” Spike says smacking his hand the same way Gunn did,
“Spike what’s up?” Spike shrugs
“Nothing much, how’s Ireland?” he asks,
“What you wanna know is how’s the girls” Doyle jokes, Spike tilts his head,
“Well that too” he says the guys all laugh,
“Ireland’s great…”
“You gotta girlfriend?” Gunn asks,
“Yeh, names Sarah” he says,
“Is she hot?” Gunn asks with a smirk, Spike chuckles,
“Doyle always knew how to pick em so dumb question mate” Spike says, Wesley clears his throat to get their attention, they all look at him,
“Sorry, I uh gotta get going, Fred duty,” Gunn and Spike both grin at him,
“Yeh man go get your girl” Spike says teasingly, Doyle looks at Wes and nods telling him he’s got thing under control, Wesley nods in response and leaves the guys to it.
“So what brings you back to Sunnyhell?” Spike asks,
“Family business, well more like family missed me so here I am” he says with a grin, Spike chuckles,
“Well it’s good to see ya mate, been a long time” he says,
“Yeh hey how bout we have a movie night sleepover like old times all of us the gang everyone?” he asks, “You know for old times sake” Spike looks at Gunn,
“Yo D, Angel didn’t tell ya?” Gunn asks, remembering what Wes told him to do,
‘Just act normal, you don’t know anything that’s going on, you don’t know Doyle is here nothing, play along, we need Spike to believe Doyle has no clue what has happened since he left…’
“Tell me what?” Doyle asks already knowing the answer,
“The gangs over mate, has been for years now, no more movie nights no more sleepovers” Spike explains, Doyle looks confused,
“Damn looks like a lot has changed since I left, what happened?” he asks, Spike sighs,
“Me and Buffy broke up, a lot happened after that, fights, arguments, and the group split the gang broke apart” he explains, Doyle nods sadly,
“Oh, that’s bad man, ‘The Scooby’s’ were the strongest and biggest group in junior high, I cant believe that over” he says,
“Yeh D, but that was along time ago, although the peace between the gang hasn’t been mended, Spikey here and Buff still argue about it and anything else they can think of” Gunn explains, Spike frowns,
“Not my fault the bitch dumped me, it was her bloody fault mate,” he says angrily remembering what happened,
“Why’d she dump you?” he asks hoping Spike would tell him, Spike looks at him anger clear in his eyes,
“Why don’t you ask her?” he says, Gunn pats his shoulder and Spike looks at him soon he calms down,
“So why don’t the gang just get back together sure you two aren’t tight no more, but no reason to make the rest of the gang suffer” he says, Spike sighs,
“They aint suffering their happy, they don’t wanna get back together” he says, Doyle frowns,
“How do you know that?” he says, when Spike doesn’t answer he decides this is a good time to leave so he stands up,
“Well I gotta go, seya guys” he says and walks off, Gunn looks at Spike who is frowning,
“Maybe he’s right” he says Spike looks at him…

“Wow that wasn’t so easy” Doyle says to Angel and Cordy,
“How’d it go?” Cordy asks,
“Well he didn’t tell me what happened between him and Buffy just like she didn’t, and he thinks the same as her, that the gang are happy and they don’t want to get back together” he says, Cordy and Angel sigh,
“But like with Buffy I got him thinking… now will you two tell me what happened between those two?” he asks, Cordy and Angel look at each other,
“He deserves to know” she says, Angel nods, they look back at Doyle and take a deep breath ready to talk about the thing that happened to cause such a strong group to split.
The group meet again that night at Tara’s, this time everyone is there, Tara, Willow, Anya, Connor, Dawn, Fred, Wesley, Angel, Cordy, Gunn, Jesse, and Oz,
“So what’s next, we got Buffy and Spike thinking, but we still need Xander and Faith on our side” Dawn says,
“Well I’ll talk to Xander” Anya says, they all look at her, “I can be very persuasive,” she says with a cheeky smile, they all laugh,
“What about Faith?” Connor asks, Gunn sighs and takes a deep breath,
“I’ll talk to her” he says, they all stare at him shocked including Doyle who now knows everything that happened since he left, he knows that Gunn and Faith split a while after the gang broke apart because they didn’t want to hurt Buffy or Spike, they didn’t brake up cause they stopped caring but Buffy and Spike don’t know that and so is just as shocked as the rest,
“Are you sure?” Willow asks, Gunn nods,
“Yeh, I think it’s time, we haven’t talked since we broke up,” he explains, they all nods,
“You want me to come?” Jesse asks, Gunn shakes his head,
“Nah man this is something I need to do along, but thanx” Jesse nods in understanding.
“Alright so tomorrow, we get the last two members back, then we move on to the main objective,” Wesley explains, everyone nods and stand up,
“But for tonight I’m gunna sleep, this is hard work” Cordy says, Angel wraps an arm around her wait pulling her closer to him and letting her lean on him,
“Yeh, everybody get some rest, cause after tomorrow things are gunna get even harder” Fred says, they all look at each other then say their goodnight’s and goodbye’s, soon the living room is empty and everyone is heading home to rest and dread what’s’ to come.
