"W-wait. C-can't we j-just t-t-talk this out?" Andrew stuttered.

The dude sent his fist smashing into Andrew's cheek, his knuckles leaving red mark across his face. "Guess not?"

"Mark, Mark, stop! Stop!" Dawn screamed, running over.

"What, now you're defending him?" her boyfriend asked.

"Andrew is my friend and I would take a bullet for him. So of course I am defending him as he would do for me." Dawn gave Andrew an encouraging head nod and offered him a hand.

"Dawn..."

"Bye, Mark." Andrew waved, still a little shakey from the fear.

Dawn gave him a smile. "All right?"

"Y-yeah. But Dawn, why?"

"I told you."

Dawn went inside, the screen door slamming.

"Oh, by the way," she stuck her head out, "Might want to change your pants." Andrew turned bright red.
