"Mornin'." Connor said with a smile.

"Huh? What is it..." Dawn realized it was Connor. "oh hey Connor."

"...well, today is a nice day." replied Connor.

"Yeah, nice and sunny."

"Well, I have nothing to do today. Do you wanna..." said Connor.

"Go do something?...oh uh...I mean if you know, you want to." said Dawn.

"Hmm, there's lots you can do in L.A."

"Man, I haven't been to an amusement park in a long time."

"Huh? Oh...I've never been to one." said Connor.

"Ahhh c'mon! You've never been to one?" asked Dawn. Connor knodded his head "no". "Alright then, let's go to one."

"Hold on, we need to tell...the uh love birds." said Connor smirkingly.

"Good call."

~~~downstairs~~~

"Hey." said Buffy. "What'cha doing?"

"Oh hey. I'm just hungry." said Angel looking in the refridgerator.

"So, any news? I mean on demons and stuff?" asked Buffy.

"Not yet, not since I've heard from Wesley." said Angel.

"So where is he?"

"He's in San Francisco. He's just looking for some uh...books and stuff." said Angel.

*Ring ring* the phone rang.

"Angel Investiga- oh hi Wes. Uh-huh...nope. Yeah Buffy and Dawn are uh...here to visit...Yeah have you heard of anything yet. Oh really? Ok. Sure, buh-bye." said Angel on the phone.

"What did he say?" asked Buffy.

"Well, there's a..." said Angel, interrupted by Connor and Dawn. "Hey guys."

"Hey Buffy, I was uh..." Dawn looked at Angel. "thinking of doing something with Connor. Could we go to an amusement park?"

"...why?" asked Buffy.

"Just to...do something." said Connor.

"Sure. Angel?" asked Buffy.

"Yeah, go ahead." said Angel.

Before they left, Angel handed Connor a stake to bring just incase something happened. With that, they left.

"Ok Connor. We are going to have fun." said Dawn smiling.

They went on the rides and did all the attractions the park offered. When they were about to go in the Haunted House....

"Let's go in this one." said Connor. Dawn froze. "What is it?"

"I went into this Haunted House before when I was in 6th grade. My friends dared me. I chickened out." said Dawn trying to hide her emotions.

"C'mon Dawn. It's ok. I walk into trouble and scary stuff all the time...for a living. I'm right here." said Connor. Dawn looked at him. She could tell that he was Angel's son. It was genetic obviously of being kind towards others.

"Alright."

They stepped inside. Just before they went in, their hands somehow met. Dawn looked at Connor. Connor looked at Dawn. They ran through. When they came out, they laughed and saying that it wasn't so bad. It was getting late, and they decided to walk back to the hotel.

"So Connor, what did you think? Are amusement parks a drag..." asked Dawn.

"Nah, it was fun. I really enjoyed it. Maybe we could get a cotton candy or something..." said Connor. Then, all of a sudden, a tall demon jumped at Dawn.

"Dawn!!!? Are you ok?" asked Connor. He gave the demon an angry look.
He attacked the demon until it finally fell down.

"Dawn, are you sure you're alright? DAWN!!!?" shouted Connor. She wasn't breathing. He carried her to the hotel.

"DAD!!! BUFFY!!!" yelled Connor.

"What!??? What happened???" asked Buffy. She looked at Dawn.

"Connor!!! What happened?" asked Angel.

"This demon, he just popped out at Dawn. He's down. He'll come back." said Connor. "She's knocked out."

They carried Dawn to her bed.

"Come on dad, we're gonna go find this thing." said Connor.

"No Connor, I'll go with Angel. You stay here and watch Dawn." said Buffy.

"Ok." He went upstairs and brought a glass of water for Dawn.

~~~outside~~~

"So they were at an amusement park?" asked Buffy.

"Yeah. The demon must have been here." said Angel.

~~~somewhere a few blocks away from the amusement park~~~

"I must find they key." said the demon. "Are you sure that's it?"

"Yes, I'm sure of it. Now hurry up! We need the key. And when you find it, don't kill her. Bring her to me. I want her so that I can use her for the real purpose, to go back to my demention where I can rest." said a voice.

"So what was his name again?" asked the demon.

"It's a her, you moron! Her name is Dawn. Dawn Summers." said the voice.

*DUN DUN DUUUUN~!*
