“Hey, it’s getting late. My dad might kill me if I stay out any longer.” said Connor.

“Yeah, maybe Buffy will too.” replied Dawn.

They walked back into the hotel, being as silent as possible.

“Where have you two been?” asked Buffy.

“We…were…” said Dawn. “Outside, going for a walk.” finished Connor.

“But some vampire might have harmed you! What if you got hurt? And I would have no idea where you have been…” shouted Buffy.

“Buffy, calm down. I have…Connor here with me.” replied Dawn. Connor and Dawn exchanged glances with each other.

“Ok, I’m sorry Dawn. I just… over reacted.” said Buffy.

“You must be tired. Get some rest.” said Angel. He gave Buffy a short kiss.

“Goodnight.” said Angel to Buffy.

“Goodnight, Dawn.” said Connor.

~~~in the rooms~~~

“Buffy, I’m sorry, if I…scared you.” said Dawn.

“No, Dawn. I was just cranky. I was just…confused.” replied Buffy.

“Well, we all have our bad days.” There was an awkward silence, Dawn tried to break it. “Buffy?”

“Yeah?”

“Can I tell you something?”

“Sure. Go ahead.”

Dawn began to tell Buffy. “When I was with Connor, I felt…happy and special.”

Buffy gave her a surprised look.

“We had a lot of things in common. We talked the whole time…longer than I ever had to anyone before. I just felt…this thing.”

“What…thing?”

“Buffy…” Dawn gulped. “I think I’m in love with him.

~~~in Angel’s room~~~

*Knock knock knock*

“C’mon in, Connor.” said Angel.

“Hey.”

“Hey.” Angel looked at his son. “Is something…wrong?”

“Hey dad, you know how I was with Dawn outside while you and-” began Connor. He forgot what Dawn’s sitser’s name was.

“-Buffy.”

“Yeah. Anyways, I felt so different, when I was talking to her. I talked to her about a lot of stuff. You know how I’m usually quiet. But with Dawn, I felt different. Like I was a different person. Everything just…came out.” said Connor.

Angel gave him another look.

“Dad, is there something wrong?”

“No,” said Angel. “It’s just, you’ve never…opened up to me like this before. You’ve never told me your feelings.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“Dad, I…I think I’m in love with Dawn.”
