Life was also going well for Angel, Buffy, and all their friends. Besides training Slayers and Watchers, they also had to plan Faith and Xander’s wedding. No one had been as surprised as Faith and Xander had been when the announcement of their engagement was made. Neither of them had planned on getting married. Xander still thought he had feelings for Anya, and Faith had broken up with Robin Wood, and wasn’t looking for a relationship. But, they had found something in each other. Their very brief fling Xander’s senior year had a lasting affect on both of them. They had somehow managed to find each other again, and were happy. Willow and Kennedy had also managed to find happiness in Rome, and were very happy. Giles hadn’t found anyone special yet, but Buffy had hope. Dawn, on the other hand, had become quite the social butterfly. A few months after moving to Rome, she had decided that she needed to change her image. She had asked Tru to cut all her hair off, in a short pixie cut. Dawn had become quite popular, and all of the guys who lived in the villa had become very protective father-figures; not just over Dawn, but all the Slayers. Now, the guys had taken it upon themselves to protect Dawn from all of the guys vying for her attention. They were experiencing a semi-normal life, and were very happy.

William woke up early Saturday morning, and went on his morning jog. William wanted to make sure that he stayed in shape, because you never knew what could happen. He was about halfway through his jog when he ran into Becky again. He found Becky was going the opposite way he was going. “Hello there,” William said. “Oh hi Will, how are you?” “Fine. Going on a jog; every day, like clockwork,” Will said. “Oh, I always run at the same time, and I never see you,” Becky said. “Oh I guess I’m running a little earlier than normal. I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to run. So, are you almost done with your jog?” “Actually, I’m about halfway through. I live in the apartments on State College, and Yorba Linda,” Becky said. “Are you serious? I live in those apartments,” Will said, secretly smiling inside. “Really? You must not live near me, because I never see you,” Becky said. Inside, she too, was smiling. She really liked Will, and looked forward to seeing him. “Well, how about I jog with you back to your apartment, and we’ll find out,” Will said with a small grin. Becky nodded, and they jogged back to the apartment complex together. Will and Becky were each pleasantly surprised that they lived just two apartments away from each other. “Well, we must just be leaving and coming home at different times, and just miss each other,” Becky said. “Well, I will just have to try hard not to miss you,” Will said, brushed his hand across Becky’s cheek, and then went back to his apartment. Becky just stood there in shock, and joy.

As Will entered his apartment, he was filled with excitement. He had finally found someone, and was eagerly waiting for the right time to ask her out. He saw that the light on his answering machine was blinking. He pressed the play button, and smiled when he heard Buffy’s voice on the other line. “Hey Will, just calling to say hello. Faith and Xander’s wedding went off without a hitch, and they are now back at the villa, working. But, I have other news. I don’t know how you’re going to take this. So, you might want to sit down. Are you sitting? Good. Angel and I are going to be parents. I’m pregnant I hope that you will be happy for us. By the way, how are things going at Cal State Fullerton? Willow wants me to ask you how Becky is. Who’s Becky? Okay, well, we look forward to hearing your call. Talk to you soon. Bye.” With that, Buffy hung up. Will stayed seated for a couple of minutes. Buffy was pregnant? Well, Will was happy for her. She and Angel deserved to be happy. Also, Will wanted to know how Willow knew about Becky. He decided that this call from Buffy was his sign. He walked over to Becky’s apartment, knocked on the door, waited for her to answer, then asked her out. Becky immediately said yes; she had wanted him to ask her out since she first ran into him.

Back in Rome, Angel and Buffy were slowly planning for the birth of their child. Everyone was helping out. Giles, Xander, and Angel were working on remodeling one of the rooms to make a nursery; something that could grow with the baby. Buffy, Faith, and Willow went shopping for all the baby things they thought they would need. Angel and Buffy marveled over Buffy’s expanding belly. Although Angel already had a son, things didn’t happen normally with that whole incident, and Angel was looking forward to really being a father, and watching this child grow up. Buffy and Angel were pleasantly surprised to receive a package in the mail from William. William had sent them a beautiful baby blanket, a baby rattle, and a stuffed teddy bear. Buffy and Angel were touched by the gift; they hadn’t really expected anything from William; they thought that there were still hard feelings. But then Willow had made a comment about a girl named Becky. When Buffy had asked about her, Willow smiled her special Willow smile. She said that she had a vision of William meeting a girl, and being happy. Angel and Buffy were happy for him. Suddenly, nine months had passed, and Buffy was in labor. She had decided to have the baby at the villa, with Willow helping her. After 12 hours of labor, she finally gave birth. Willow was crying and smiling, and as soon as that baby let out that first cry, Angel came rushing in. “You have a beautiful baby girl,” Willow said through her tears. “Jennifer,” Angel said. “Jennifer Giles. I like the sound of that,” Buffy said, reaching out her hands for her daughter. Willow quietly snuck out of the room, leaving the two of them to enjoy their new baby.

Throughout those months, Becky and Will’s relationship had changed drastically. No longer were they just friends. In those months since their jog, they had gotten very close. They now shared an apartment, and rode to work together whenever possible. Will’s students had all given him a hard time at first, but now they were all happy for him. Especially his poetry class; that was the class that knew him better than any of his other classes. When he received pictures of Jenny Giles in the mail, he brought them into his poetry class. He had his short story class write possible futures for the new arrival, and he made copies of them, blocked out the names, and sent them to Buffy and Angel, hoping to give them a good laugh. He and Becky had smiled over the pictures, Becky thought that Jennifer was the cutest baby she had ever seen. “Oh I don’t know. I think you and I could make cuter babies than Angel and Buffy,” Will said with a smile. “Will, you are the biggest smart-ass I’ve ever met,” Becky said with a laugh. “I’m serious,” Will said. With that, he dropped to one knee, and pulled a ring box out of his pocket. “Becky, I love you. Please do me the honor of becoming my wife,” William said, and opened the ring box. Inside was a beautiful emerald cut diamond, flanked on either side by fire opals, set on a platinum band. “Oh Will, of course I’ll marry you,” Becky said, jumped up, and kissed Will very enthusiastically. Now it was his turn to leave the message on Angel and Buffy’s answering machine; boy, were they going to be surprised.

And throughout all of this, Fred and Wesley watched from above. They saw it as their own private movie, but they didn’t think their friends would mind them peaking in. Cordelia and Doyle checked in every once and a while. Fred and Wesley were happy to see their friends so happy; they deserved it. Fred and Wesley were also very happy. They got to spend eternity with each other; what more could they want. As Angel and Buffy, and Will and Becky experienced the fullness of life and love, Fred and Wesley were right there, giving this a little push this way, a little pull that way. They saw it as their job to make sure that these two couples had their happily ever after.

And they did.
