The next day, Buffy and Dawn dragged Angel and Spike to every men’s clothing store in Rome. Angel still had plenty of money left from the sale of the Hyperion, so he bought his and Spike’s new clothes. Angel and Spike tried on almost every item of clothing in every store. It was made worse by the fact that Buffy and Dawn made them come out of the dressing room, and show them every new thing they tried on. They finally finished shopping, and Angel and Spike left with Angel’s wallet much lighter. Their clothes were going to be sent to the villa. Angel and Spike now had jeans, and khakis, and bought shirts that were actual colors.

They went back to the villa, where they came face-to-face with Tru, the cosmetologist-turned-Slayer. “Oh my gosh, you know that they Billy Idol look is SO out, right?” Spike blushed. “And you,” Tru said, turning to Angel. “Wait, what’s wrong with my hair?” Angel said, blushing as Spike laughed. “It’s just a little too long, and dull,” Tru said. Angel looked at Buffy. “Honey, I have to agree,” Buffy said, then turned on the puppy dog eyes. “Fine, but only for you,” Angel said. Buffy kissed him, and then left him and Spike in the hands of Tru. “Where are you going?” Angel and Spike asked in unison. “Well, we are going to be surprised,” Buffy said, and led Dawn out of the room. “All right, let the games begin,” Tru said with a grin. Angel and Spike looked at each other in fear. “Oh come on, it won’t be that bad. Spike, take a seat,” Tru said. Angel took a nap, and woke up to feel a tap on his shoulder. “Angel, it’s your turn in the torture chamber,” Angel heard Spike say. Angel got up, and blindly felt his way to the chair. He continued his nap, and woke up to find Buffy and Dawn staring at him.

“What?” he asked. ‘You’ve been asleep for an hour,” Buffy said. “Wow, I must’ve really been tired.” “Well, I just want to say that you look great,” Dawn said with a grin. “I agree, but you should see Spike; he looks like a completely different person,” Willow said from the doorway. As Angel went to look for Spike, he passed a mirror. He stopped and stared. He hadn’t seen his reflection in over two hundred years. His hair was only a little bit shorter, but now it looked like he had been in the sun. His hair had caramel colored highlights; he looked like he had spent years in the sun - except for the fact that he had no tan. As Angel walked in to backyard, and around the pool, he saw a man standing there with dark, chocolate brown hair.

As the man turned, Angel laughed. “William Wyndam-Pryce? Nice to meet you,” Angel said. “Angel Giles? Nice to meet you, too,” Spike said with a grin. “I guess Spike is dead?” Angel said. “Just as Angelus is gone, so is Spike,” Spike said with a small smile. “So, should we call you William now?” Angel asked. “Either that, or Will. It’s time to lay Spike to rest,” he said. “Okay then,” the two turned to see Willow, Xander, Faith, Giles, Dawn, and Buffy standing in the doorway. “So, William, what are you going to do now?” Dawn asked. “Well, I think I might stay here for a few more days, then go back to California and try to get a job,” William said. “Well, I know some people at a few colleges who happen to be looking for some English professors,” Giles said with a grin. “You know, you’re welcome to stay for as long as you like,” Buffy said. “I know, but I need to get on with my life,” William said. Buffy nodded her understanding. “Okay, well, since you’re only going to be here for a short time longer, let’s have some fun,” Faith said.

The next few days were spent doing all the things that tourists might do. They went sight-seeing, and shopping, and just had fun. Suddenly, it was time for William to leave. Everyone was sad to see him leave. He had become a different person, and he was going to be sorely missed. William made sure that he had a way of keeping in touch with everyone. Giles had managed to find him a place to stay in Southern California, Fullerton to be exact. Giles said that Cal State Fullerton was looking for a new English professor, and Giles had told them about William. William thanked Giles, made his good-byes, got into the cab, and left for the airport. “I’m going to miss him,” Xander said. Everyone looked at him. “What? Since he got his soul, he’s become really nice, and kinda cool,” Xander said. The gang laughed. “Okay, well, we need to get back to work,” Buffy said. “What can I do?” Angel asked. “I think that you could actually be of great help to us,” Giles said. “Doing what?” Angel asked. “Well, you can teach these girls the history that you know. Not just regular history, but history about demons and such,” Giles said. “Plus, you can help us train all these girls,” Buffy said. “Yeah, even though they have the Slayer strength, they don’t know what to do with it,” Willow said. Angel nodded his understanding. “There’s one thing we need to do before you start teaching,” Buffy said. “Get married,” Angel said. “Exactly,” Buffy replied. “So, are we going to have a little time to plan this, or what?” Faith asked. “Well, we’ve waited this long, I think we can wait a month more,” Angel said with a small smile.
