----- Chapter 2 -----

When Buffy arrived in the house everyone was in the living room waiting for her. She looked around at her new guests, and then realized they were still waiting for sleeping arrangements. She put the girls in her Mom’s old room, and set up cots in the basement for the guys. Willow would sleep on a sleeping bag in Buffy’s room

After everyone was settled in, Buffy ordered delivery Chinese and Pizza, because she did not feel like torturing her guests with her bad cooking. Everyone sat down in the living room eating and talking, except for Buffy who was upstairs enjoying her long, warm bath.

Eventually the Slayer decided some food would be nice. She heard sounds of sleep and no talking, so Buffy simply wrapped herself in a towel and went down stairs to munch on some cheese pizza.

Buffy grabbed a slice of pizza and headed into the kitchen for some juice. When she finished gathering her entire meal, she turned to sit at the table then yelped in shock upon seeing Logan. Suddenly the girl was a hundred shades of red and looking for somewhere to hide.

“Nice towel…” Logan couldn’t resist saying something.

He had been so silent that when Buffy came in the room she hadn’t noticed him; he was going to make his presence known, until her towel started slipping down. Buffy caught the fabric before any thing could be shown, but Logan could not stop watching as her towel continued to slide lower, she always caught the towel before anything important showed and managed to balance her food on her plate.

“Geez this is sooo how I want Scott’s friends to see me, prancing about in practically nothing.” Buffy stated awkwardly trying to make conversation.

An uncomfortable silence fell upon the two; finally it was Logan who reminded Buffy about her meal. She stopped Blushing long enough to remember how hungry she was. She sat next to Logan and ate.

“So, how do you know Scott?” she asked

“Slim and I work together.” Logan looked out the window and away from the pretty girl in the towel.

“Really? What do you guys do?” Buffy asked, grateful for a conversation topic

“We’re both teachers at the same school in New York.” He replied with complete disinterest

“Ya know, I didn’t think anyone else was awake, you really surprised me. Why are you awake?” She asked

“Couldn’t sleep.” He replied

Buffy continued to eat her meal, she watched the unfamiliar man sitting next to her trying to decipher his thoughts.

“Well I’m finished eating, so I’m gonna go and sleep. See you in the morning.” Buffy said half heartedly

“Don’t you mean a couple of hours? It’s already morning.” Logan smirked

Grinning Buffy replied, “Well then, see you in a couple hours.” She turned to walk out the kitchen, then at the entrance Buffy stopped, turned around and added on, “Morning.” That was it, and then she was gone.

Logan sat there for a bit wondering what to do next; he finally resigned to the idea of catching some sleep, although he hardly needed it.
