Story from a Slayer....and her sister!
Chapter 2

‘Where the hell is Dawn?’ Buffy asked Xander. ‘What if she’s been kidnapped or is sitting in a ditch or worse lying in a bed next to a guy she doesn’t know? Oh God, Xander! I’m worried. She’s never been later before.’

‘Whoa! Buff, calm down! You know what it was like when you and An... When you were her age,’ Xander replied, being very cautious about mentioning Angel. Buffy was still a bit edgy after, well, everything.

‘Yeah! It was all beer, Slaying and parties - and Mistakes!’ Buffy said.

‘Phone Kevin. Maybe she’s still there,’ Xander suggested.

‘Kevin! Where’s the phone?’ Buffy asked, franticly searching for the phonebook to find Kevin’s number.

‘Here,’ Xander said, handing her the cordless phone and phonebook.

Buffy dialled the number franticly. It rang for a while. Buffy hadn’t thought that it was gone midnight! Suddenly, she heard a sleepy voice pick up.

‘Then we all got on the bus and drove. That was it, really. Not much more to say.’ Dawn said to Angel as she finished her fourth cup of cocoa.

‘Not much to say! You helped save the world! I remember when you were nine years old and would destroy almost everything in sight! Oh God I sound like an embarrassing uncle!’ As Angel replied, his stomach rumbled.

‘You’re hungry,’ Dawn said. ’Go ahead. Eat.’

‘I can’t. Not in front of you!’

‘Sure you can! Hello eighteen!’

‘Ok, hold on!’ Angel said heading for his fridge. He opened the door and pulled out a mug with thick red liquid in it. ’So.. erm... how’s....’

‘Angel, you can ask about Buffy. I know you want to!’

‘Ok. Well, how is she?’

‘Kevin! Kevin! Is that Kevin?’ Buffy asked into the phone.

‘Hello?’ Kevin said.

‘Kevin! Is Dawn there?’

‘Dawn? No, she left two hours ago!’

‘Two hours ago! Oh my God!’

‘Is she ok?’ Kevin asked, sounding concerned

‘I don’t know. She didn’t come home!’

‘Oh God! I’ll go look for her!’

‘No! You stay there! Wait and see if she comes back to your dorm. I'll go and search the town.’

‘Ok! Please find her!’

‘I will, Kevin!’ Buffy said hanging up the phone, ‘Xander, stay here. If she comes back, contact me! I’m going to look for her!’ Buffy then headed out the door.

‘Buffy...’ Xander said, but Buffy was gone before he could tell her to be careful.

‘She’s fine! Hasn’t died in the past two years - which is good!’ Dawn said, making a joke, but Angel didn’t quite get it.

‘Yeah!’ Angel replied remembering the last two times Buffy had died.

‘Angel. What actually happened that time you and Buffy met after we, you know,... brought her back?’

‘Dawn... it doesn't matter. It’s in the past!' Angel had the painful thought of that time they had spent together. How they had sat together in each other’s arms for hours. How he didn’t want to let her go!

‘Ok! God, look at the time! I better get home!’

‘You’re not going alone! If you’re going anywhere I’m walking you there.’

‘Are you sure? I mean Buffy...’

‘I know, but I can’t let you go alone.’

‘Ok, well, let’s go!’

Buffy went round the campus where her sister stayed and didn’t see her anywhere. She then checked out the bars and clubs; still no sign of her.

She was headed towards the places nearer her home when she saw her sister. She was walking with a tall man. Where has she been? Buffy ran up behind the man and hit him hard in the back of the head.

‘Get away from her!’ Buffy shouted.

‘Buffy!’ Dawn screamed.

‘Hey!’ The man shouted, getting up from the ground. Buffy was ready for another hard punch, but then her eyes met his.

‘Angel...’
