Xander looked in the mirror. It freaked him out, seeing two eyes looking back at him.

When he'd filed his request with the Council, he'd expected to get a glass eye. Something like Columbo, that he could take out and leave in people's drinks for a laugh. He hadn't reckoned with Giles pushing for cutting edge technology.

The damn thing looked and moved just like his real eye. Strange, but a good strange. He no longer felt like a player benched on account of injury and people didn't treat him like an invalid any more. He owed Giles big time.
