Buffy the Vampire/Slayer: Part 3

Buffy had been pacing her 'cage' for hours, but it seemed more like it had been days to everyone involved.

"Can't we just kill her?" Cordelia asked, bummed out that she was missing a good 5 hours of her beauty rest.

"No!" Giles nearly shouted.

"Why not?" Cordelia asked, a whining lilt to her voice.

"Because the fact remains that she is the Slayer. She's all we've got, and we're not killing her." Giles stated matter-of-factly.

"Figures." Cordelia mumbled.

Xander glared at her, stood and pulled her out of her chair.

"Get out, and don't come back." He snarled.

"Well, fine. Be that way." Cordelia said, miffed, and then she stalked out of the library, slamming the door behind her as she left.
