Willow took a glance at Angel. He seemed to be brooding again. It had to be because of Buffy. “So, who’s Kate?” Angel looked at her “She is just a really good friend. She helps us out and she knows that I am a vampire.”

Willow nodded. Now for the hard question. “What are you gonna do about Buffy?”

Angel was surprised. Not that he didn’t know it was coming, but just because it was Willow. “Well I don’t know. I really hadn’t planned on doing anything because she has Riley. I still love her and everything but when I left I told her to move on and that is what she has done. I can’t ask her to do anything else.”

Willow though about that for a second. “Angel I think that if you told her that you wanted to be with her again that she would dump Riley in a heartbeat. She really loves you and I think that she wants to get back together with you.”

Angel smiled. “Maybe I could talk to her about it when this is all over.” Willow seemed satisfied. She was about to say something else when they realized that they were gonna be joined in a second.

Buffy looked surprised. She hadn’t thought that they would run into Angel and Willow. She would just have to make due with the situation. “Hey guys. See anything interesting?”

“Not really, but we haven’t been out here long so maybe soon.” Willow said trying to bring some brightness into the situation.

As soon as she had said that though, there was a noise in the bushes and then someone running off. Buffy was ready. “Willow come with me I might need a spell” The two of them ran off into the bundle of trees just ahead.

That left Riley and Angel. Dangerous situation to say the least. Well, Riley wanted the time to talk to Angel and now he got it. “So what were you and Buffy talking about?”

“Nothing that you need to worry about.” Angel said while looking around for anything else that would attack.

“If you are here thinking that you can take her away from me then you can just go home because it’s not gonna work.” Riley said defiantly.

Angel could do nothing but laugh at that comment. “You think you can stop me? If I wanted to, I could take her from right under your nose and you couldn’t do a thing about it.”

Riley wasn’t gonna take that. “Oh you think so? Then why is she still with me?”

“Because I told her that we couldn’t be together.”

“Oh yeah right, you got that chick Kate. She must be blind to want to get involved with you.”

Angel was really getting mad. This boy thought that he could take him. Oh was he ever wrong. “Boy, you are messing with the wrong person. If I really wanted to then I would take her.”

Riley was just ready for that one. “Good, then I take it because you haven’t taken her then you don’t want her and that’s good because she is mine and I love her.”

It dawned on Angel. “I love her more than you ever could and you know what it took this stupid conversation with you for me to realize what I want and what I am gonna get. Thanks for the chat.” Angel ran off to where Buffy and Willow were.

Riley realized what he was doing. “Oh my god. Damn!” Riley took off into the bushes hoping he could find Buffy before Angel.
