Stuck Between Two Guys: Part 2

Same night

There is always something lurking in the shadows in the cemeteries. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it’s the evil that you think doesn’t exist. The kind that you only think lives under your bed but you never think is real. But it is. There is only one person in the world destined to fight it. She is the………

“OUCH”

Buffy jumps back to her feet and looks at the vampire that has just knocked her down. “Man, and I really liked this outfit. Why can’t you guys just play nice?” All so suddenly another one of his friends jumps out of the bushes. Buffy didn’t sense him due to the fact that she was already busy fighting the other vampire. Of course she also didn’t realize that there were about 6 more on their way. She would just have to hope that somebody would come along and help her. Maybe Riley would appear and kick some butt with her. Then all at once all 8 vampires attacked her.

“Hey, that’s not fair. You all have to take your turns and play fair.” The vampire that was there first attacked at that moment “Oh well, guess that’s not gonna happen” That marked the beginning of the battle. Punches were thrown and Buffy was on the receiving end. She was losing and getting scared at the same time. She needed help and fast.

“It’s not nice to pick on a girl when there are 8 of you” A mysterious person said from inside the darkness. It chose that moment to jump out and fight. Buffy looked at the shadow of the man fighting. He was too tall and built to be Riley, and to cocky to be Xander. So who could it be? Well I guess she will just find out when this is all done with. Over time the vampires all were disposed of. Buffy still didn’t know who her savior was. He was about to show himself when Riley came out of nowhere. The savior must have thought that he was anther bad guy because a second later, Riley was up against a tree with his air cut off. That’s when Buffy stepped in.

“Hey, Macho Guy. That’s a good guy. Let him go.” The savior let go of Riley and turned to face her. When she saw who it was she was in complete shock. She thought she had stopped breathing. He chose that moment to speak.

“Hey Buff, I’m back”

But how? How dare he come back here when she had everything going for her. She had just gotten really comfortable with Riley. Things were going great with them. He knew about her being the slayer and she knew he was a commando. This was NOT happening.

“Buffy, who is this guy? Why is he here and why did he just try to kill me?” Riley looked very confused.

Buffy didn’t know how she was going to say this. She figured that beating around the bush wasn’t gonna work in this situation. So forward was chosen as the approach

“Riley, I want you to meet Angel, my ex-boyfriend. Angel this is Riley, my current boyfriend”

Riley was in shock. Her ex-boyfriend? He had never heard of this guy. But of course he didn’t think he had anything to worry about. Now that he saw him he was wondering another thing. He loved Buffy, but what was gonna happen now that Angel was in town. He didn’t like this at all.

Angel was a little more emotional. He knew that he told her to move on but he didn’t think that she was going to do it so fast. Well what did he expect; the left her all alone. He did this and it was his fault. He was just going to try and stay calm.

“I am sorry. I knew I should have told you before we left. It was part of the vision, but I didn’t know how to or even how you would react. This weird moment would be my fault.” Cordelia said as she stepped out from the darkness. Angel had told her to stay in the car when he saw the fight.

Buffy looked at her oddly “Cordelia?” she said in disbelief. “ What are you doing here?”

Angel chose that moment to speak up. “She is here with me. She is my partner of sorts. And as for why we are here, why don’t we find Giles and we can discuss that.”

It dawned on Buffy why he was being so odd about this. He didn’t know that Riley knew all this. “Angel, it’s okay. Riley knows about me being the slayer.”

Cordelia looked at everyone. They all were confused. She knew what she had to do. “Okay, there are some things that need to be straightened out. Why don’t we all go to Giles’ and we can get it all out.”

Everyone was in on that idea. They all went in separate directions to Giles’: Angel and Cordelia to Angel’s car and Buffy and Riley to Riley’s car.
