Disclaimer: Buffy The Vampire Slayer and related characters are owned by Joss Whedon, WB and Mutant Enemy. *****Epilogue*****

It was dark at the bus station when Buffy arrived, she had decided to come by herself. Everyone else had said their goodbyes the day before. She saw Wesley standing by the side of a bus, carrying more bags than he could handle. Buffy waved to him, he acknowledged her with a nod and called to a figure inside the bus.

‘Buffy’s here, to say goodbye.’

The figure stepped off of the bus, she was wearing a very loose shirt and the bandages around her waist were slightly visible. She walked over to Buffy and smiled slightly, unsure what to say.

‘Hi Faith.’ Buffy said as warmly as she could.

‘Do you forgive me?’ Faith asked.

‘I forgive, but I can never forget.’

‘Thanks B, thanks for everything.’ She hugged Buffy carefully, trying not to squash her wound. ‘I’ll send you a postcard.’ She got on the bus; following behind was Wesley…still carrying their bags.

As she waved to them as they sat at the back of the bus Buffy found herself feeling glad that Faith was alive, but even gladder that she and Wesley were leaving. Faith was many things, a slayer, and a friend…and a psycho. Buffy would miss her a lot, but she’d never admit it, not even to herself.

‘Do you miss Wesley?’ Xander asked Cordelia the next day as they sat in the library.

‘Oh please, I am *so* over him.' She shrugged and then sighed in a serious way. 'I miss us being friends though.’

‘Me too…I’m sorry about all that stuff I said to you.’

‘I’m sorry too. Friends?’

‘Friends.’ They hugged briefly. ‘But we’re not gonna get all emotionally tangled again are we?’

‘No way.’

‘Are you going to miss her?’ Giles asked Buffy in his office; they were researching with Willow as usual.

‘I’ll miss the back up…yeah, I’ll miss her. She was a good person, deep down.’

‘Way deep down.’ Willow added, but smiled to show it wasn’t an insult.

‘Anyway, I’ve still got my friends, my Watcher and…’ She looked out of the window at the sunset in Sunnydale. ‘…my Hellmouth.’ She sighed and picked up her stake, heading out to the cemetery for patrol.

A car came speeding into Sunnydale, narrowly missing the ‘Welcome To Sunnydale’ sign. It screeched to a halt on the outskirts of town where its occupants got out and looked at their surroundings.

Spike placed an arm around Drusilla’s shoulders and took a deep and somewhat pointless breath of Sunnydale air.

‘This love, is our home again. With you back by my side I can’t lose.’

‘Sounds wonderful…but where do we sleep? Got to have my beauty sleep while the sun shines.’

‘Underground. They know we’re coming, they’ll have everything ready for us.’

Then the two of them jumped back into the car and sped off further into town.
