Part Two

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I decided to walk home that day, and dragged Willow with me. It was a beautiful spring day, like something out of a book. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and in six hours darkness would fall and vampires, demons, and other things that go bump in the night would come out and kill innocent people whom it was my duty to protect. Except sometimes I failed, and people very close to me would... no!- I mentally interrupted myself. That wasn't my fault!

"Buffy?"- I heard Willow's voice.-

"What's wrong?"

"Huh?"- I asked

"You just, spaced out."- she looked at me-

"You O.K.?"

"Yeah, fine."- I said flatly.

"Angel?"- Willow asked softly. She knew, they all knew -

"You've gotta stop beating yourself up over this. It wasn't your fault. You know that." Like hell it wasn't my fault.

"I know. I'll get Angeles someday. I'll make him pay for what he did to ms. Calendar, to all of us, but especially to Angel."- I tried to make my voice strong, but I didn't exactly succeed. Strong words. Strong lies. So I changed the subject.

"But, Willow, did you manage to hack into the files?"

"No. That's fairly impossible. I can manage the school system, or the city, but this is government! But I'll ask Oz to help. We might be able to somehow manage it."

* * *
I was about to climb out of my window to go hunt, when my eye fell on a picture taken on New Year's. We had been at the Bronze, all of us. Xander, Cordy, Willow, Oz (who was only Willow's sorta friend then) me and Angel. The picture showed all of us smiling, even Cordelia, and nothing where Angel was supposed to be. And I wished with all my heart that that had happened to him. That he had become dust, instead of returning to a demon. A demon that mocked everything my Angel had ever stood for. I looked at the picture for one last time before tossing it away and climbing out. I got to the graveyard quickly, and waited there for about an hour before the vampire started to rise from his grave.
"Good morning!"- I said cheerfully.-

"Bye- bye"- and with that I drove the stake in his heart. He turned to dust instantly. Ugh, this was going to be a slow night. I was itching for some action. A nice demon to beat the crap out of. I wasn't in such a good mood. I heard a gasp behind me, and turned, stake in hand. That was stupid, considering a head eating demon wouldn't gasp, but slayer instincts did so anyway. I was surprised to see the FBI woman behind me.

"What are you doing here?"- I asked, and pretty harshly.

"What, is going on?"- she asked.

"Vampires."- I heard the man, Moulder, say.-

"Now do you believe in them?"
