Angel's Story
"I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Angelus looked at Cordelia and realized that he has never been happier since Buffy's death. Cordelia was the woman that he loved more then life. She was wearing a long flowing white dress. She had decided to forgo the wedding dress for something simpler. He could see the love in her eyes.
This was only the third woman who ever loved him since he became a vampire. The first he killed and the second died because of his kind. He knew he would lose her with age but they both knew that and agreed that it was acceptable.
Next to him was his best man - Rupert Giles. Angelus had hoped that he would be the best man but thought that Giles would turn him down but he didn't. Angelus was also pleased that Giles accepted from Cordelia that he give her to him. Giles even threw a quiet bachelor party which consisted of just the two of them.
Giles had been very supportive of him during the last ten years. Vampire slaying dropped down to about a kill a month. Nine years ago Giles had bought the burntout werehouse in which Buffy and Xander died for a memorial. Willow and Cordelia both felt that something should be done with it so they built Buffy's Mall a large mall and a type of mall that Buffy would have loved. Angelus became the manager and made sure that all teenagers would be welcome and safe. Many complained calling it mall rat central but Angelus knew that was a compliment. With the profits Angelus used the money to create a wing for teenagers to eat, drink and socialize all for free.
Willow was standing next to Cordelia as the maid of honor. Willow kept smiling at Giles throughout the ceremony. Angelus hoped that his marriage would be like Giles and Willows.
The flower girl was Alexis and Angelus realized how boring this affair must be to her. He did promise to dance with her though at the reception.
Alexis could not believe the resemblence to Buffy that she had. It was almost like she was Buffy reincarnated. Deep down he realized she was a slayer. Through heaven and hell he would never allow her or anyone to know what he knew. Angelus wanted so much for there to be no slayers and he felt that the end of vampirism must come from him.
The last ten plus years has been so hard on everyone but this was not a day to think about it. This was a day of happiness.
"Angel are you going to kiss me or not?" said Cordelia. She mumbled to Willow, "Just like a vampire always daydreaming."
Those closest to the alter burst into laughing with the first statement only those Willow heard the second.
"I am sorry. I was just thinking how blessed we are to have our family here and our friend Father Frank doing the services." sadly said Angelus.
"Now you know that Buffy and Xander are here. Their spirits are with us and i know they are both as happy for us as those here." tearfully responded Cordelia.
Angelus leaned over and kissed Cordelia on the lips. Everyone applauded.
