I don't own anything but the story. Joss and the WB own everything else.

"How?" Angel asked, his face now drawn into a rage, a sudden need to take revenge. Xander had given him the okay and he had come into his house.
"You'll have to give up, suspend everything......your life, as you now know it."
"Anything to get her back," he told it.
"Anything?"
"Man, don't do it," Xander pleaded. "Don't listen to him. She's gotta still be alive. Just trapped maybe. We'll go to Giles. He can find a way-"
"No. This is exactly what he wanted us to do. There's no time. Wh...what do you want from me?"
"Naturally, I would have simply killed you, like I have done with so many of your kind. But your love for this girl.....truly....amazes me. A vampire and a slayer? If I had a heart, which I don't, I'd maybe share your state of caring. However, it's too late for that now. But then again, maybe a method of torture isn't the solution. You have suffered enough, Angelus. With the curse and all....so...."
"So...what?" Xander wanted to know.
"Make your wish and it shall proceed."
"Angel, c'mon. If you're going to go through with this, let's at least do it together-"
"Xander, leave. Now. I have to do this on my own," he said softly.
"Look. I love her too. And I know how much she.....likes you. More than likes. That I'll never make it to first. But it's both Buffy and Willow we're talking about-"
"Go. Now. Please. For your own good. I don't think anymore wishes need to be made. From what I remember, three had been the minimum. Giles must've read wrong. Tell him to get the spell."
"And you tell me all this 'now'? Let me take your place. You don't need to-"
"Xander, go!!!"
Still shaking, Xander moved toward the door. Part of him wanted to look back, but he then thought better of himself, and he didn't. Couldn't bring himself to see his number one enemy in complete danger.
Angel turned toward the jinn. "Okay. Let's get this done."
"I'm all ears," it answered.
"I wish.........to be taken to where Buffy is.........right now," he told it, his expression implying that he was in no way in a joking mood.
"Very well. Although, I'll warn you, it's not a nice place. Especially for you-"
"Just take me there." The jinn snapped its fingers. Angel felt himself drifting from reality, passing things unhuman, even to him. A brightness ahead made him shudder completely, and shut his eyes. Everything became a bold red and he was put on a sharp, jagged rock, that loomed over an even bigger area. He could see faceless creatures, slowly edging their way around, performing hard labors.
"Buffy?" he called out, he voice echoing against the tall walls.
"Ang.....Angel?" came the reply, a bit scared, but still very much alive.
"Where are you?"
"Over here!!! Oh, wait......I see you. Hold on. I'm going over there."
He watched intently, as a form fell next to his own. It was definitely Buffy. Only she looked exceptionally tired now, almost as if she'd spent many years of her life in this awful place.
"So, I guess I'm dead," she brought forth. "Besides, it can't really be you who's standing there-"
"I know. But it is......I am. I have no idea why though-"
"Where's Xander?"
"He went to get Giles," Angel explained. "But in the meantime....it would be wise to find a way......."
"What?" she asked, as his expression turned to a small smile.
"I.....I....missed you, Buffy. I didn't know what he did to you. Wh.....when he told me......it.....it was more than I could bare--I care about you so much."
"Oh.....Angel," she said softly.
"Buffy-" he started. Suddenly, a bright flash of fire began to seep through the cracks of stone, the minute they tried taking a step toward one another. As if it had a mind of its own, it appeared to be cutting them off.
"What's happening?" she looked at him, her eyes near to tears.
"Oh no," Angel whispered.
Xander had gotten successfully to the library in record time. Breaking through the double doors, he raced ro find Giles. The British man was leaned over the table, many objects spread out in front of him. Candles appeared before Xander, set up in every corner possible.
"Giles!!!!"
"Xander? Wh....wh....what are you doing here?"
"Angel said the spell only required three people to make a wish. My guess is Cordy, Willow, and Buffy all made it.....and are in extreme danger. Angel made yet another wish and went to save Buffy."
"Oh my......oh my......" Giles kept mumbling to himself, as if distracted.
"And that would be bad....how?" Xander questioned, desperately in need of answers.
"We need to perfrom the ritual right away. He wasn't supposed to follow Buffy......where did you say she went? I will need you help of course, Xander. And we must hurry."
"She went to hell. To relive her bit with that master guy. Yeah, I think I got the part where there's no time. My only concern is.....what do I do?"
