The End: The Visitors

After the walk home Buffy went upstairs to change. When she came back downstairs, Angel informed her that Wesley and Giles had probably gone to bed.
Buffy had grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. Angel looked at Buffy as he thought about the fight they were just in. He didn’t realize that he was staring at her until she asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Huh, oh nothing.”
After Angel finished Gunn walked in.
“We’re back and we ran into a couple of old friends. Mind if they hang here?”
“Sure, where’s Fred?” Angel asked.
“Oh, she’s outside with ‘um. Be right back.” Gunn walked back outside.
Buffy walked and sat down on a chair as Gunn and Fred walked in with the visitors.
Angel didn’t seem to care about the visitors until he saw one of them in particular, Riley.
“Hey, Angel, Buffy, I’d like you to meet Gram, Riley and his wife Samantha” Gunn said happily.
“Oh please, just Sam.” Samantha said.
“Riley. Wh…What are you doing in L.A?” Buffy asked.
“On our way to Sunnydale to, actually talk to you.” Sam replied. “It’s so good to see you again.” Sam left Riley’s side and walked over to where Buffy was standing.
“Ok. Wait a minute, how do ya know each other. Because I’m a little confused.” Gunn said, looking from Riley to Angel to Buffy.
“Buffy and I went to collage together.” Riley said, answering Gunn’s question. “And I met Angel here a couple of years ago.”
Angel was quite. He saw Riley Finn in the same room as him. And he was not happy.
There was tension between Angel and Riley. Sam, Gunn, Fred and Gram could feel it. Buffy was the only one who knew why.
“Hey, Angel, you okay?” Gunn asked. Angel didn’t answer. Therefore causing more tension. Faith walked in from the basement and instantly felt the tension.
“Hey guys, what’s with the tension?” She then noticed Riley and two other people standing in the room. “Hey Ri-man, what’s new with you?” Faith asked, walking over to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water.
“Do I know you?” Riley asked, now the one confused.
“Probably don’t recognize me in this body.” Faith started as she walked over to him. “I’m Faith.” She held her hand out, wanting to make things better with B.’s ex.
It took Riley a minute to remember the name. He saw her hand and didn’t shake it.
“Faith, I remember you, aren’t you supposed to be in jail?” Riley asked.
“Yeah.” Faith withdrew her hand knowing that he was still upset about what happened.
Angel couldn’t take it anymore he had to leave.
“I’ll be… I don’t know I’ll just be.” And Angel left.
Gram had been standing around silent until he asked, “I’m beat do you guys got a place we can stay?”
“Sure up stairs, I’ll show you.” Fred said. Gram, Riley, and Sam followed her up stairs.
Gunn looked at Buffy, who was looking at the ground, before following Fred and the others.
“So, why are you training in the middle of the night?” Buffy asked Faith.
“Because I can’t go patrolling.” Faith answered.
“Why can’t you go patrolling?” Buffy asked.
“I don’t want to leave Robin here alone.” Faith Answered
“Oh, ok. I’m going to bed.” Buffy said.
“Again? I know you missed a lot of sleep but I didn’t think it was that much.” Faith said
“Faith.”
“Never mind. See you in the morning.” Faith said as she turned to go back downstairs.
