Okay, this was intended to be Buffy's thoughts in that wedding scene as the priest was speaking, but since there aren't any characters' names in the poem...I'll let you, the reader, decide who you want it to be, whether it's Buffy, Willow, Cordelia, whoever. Never thought I'd be able to do this, and my thanks to all who encouraged me to submit it, and the other poem I've written, " Inspired. "

This is the day when all my troubles fly away,
Leaving happiness in their wake.
This is the day with the leaves fair and gay,
Where sadness can't intrude.
This is the day to which no one can say nay,
For life blooms once more.
This is the day and at midnight, beside me he'll lay,
Shadows gone, light shines through.
This is the day as we walk down, flowers in array,
Faces smiling back at us.
This is the day, when we'll walk on sands by the bay,
Rings gleaming despite the darkness.
This is the day, where formal attire will convey,
A message profound and known.
This is the day, where two hearts will join and stay,
Never to part, together at last.
This is my wedding day.
