The Darkness Trilogy - With You: Chapter Eight

The guards stood around Buffy spitting and cursing at her, Raina and Sasha had backed away as they didn’t really know what to do. One of the guards kicked Buffy in the stomach sending her to the floor in pain, the other demons began to kick the Slayer continuously.
Raina couldn’t handle it any longer so as one of the demon’s was about to hit Buffy with it’s spear Raina ran up and grabbed it. The demon looked around in confusion before Raina shoved the spear into the demon’s chest spurting green gew around the room, Raina pulled the spear out quickly and then hit another in the face. Sasha was at Raina’s side quickly and she too began to destroy the guards, the Slayer hit a demon and sent him to the floor and then took it’s spear and shoved into it’s heart.
Buffy flipped up off the ground and snapped the last demon’s neck spurting yet more gew.
“They had it coming,” Raina smiled at the bodies, “I don’t know why we didn’t do this sooner. It makes you feel good.” Buffy smiled back but Sasha stood in silence.
Buffy made her way over to Sasha and touched her arm, “They’re going to kill us,” The Slayer said and looked down, “They won’t allow this. They’ll kill us.”
Raina was quick to react, “Not if we kill them first.” The youngest Slayer reached for the doorknob of the room.
Buffy stepped in front of the door and said, “No, there are at least a million of these guys in this dimension, if we attack then we’re basically committing suicide. I think we should run, there has to be a way out.”
“No way!” Sasha said, “Me and Raina have tried to escape twice but with no success.” Raina nodded in agreement and crossed her arms.
“Guys,” Buffy said, “We’re running out of time. I’m pretty sure that these demon’s will have backup and I’m pretty sure that backup is on the way. We have to run now!”
Suddenly the sound of the guards running up the stairs could be heard, it sounded like that there was at least twenty this time, the Slayer’s had to act quickly. “Let’s go.” Raina and Sasha looked around in panic before finally nodding, Buffy ran to the window and began to crawl out followed by the two other Slayers.

The rumblings from the Hellmouth suddenly fell silent, Buffy and Giles sighed in relief. The Slayer went to the bathroom and there she showered and cleaned her wounds, by the time she left the bathroom she was covered in plasters.
“I’m all done,” Buffy said as she entered Giles’s bedroom, “I had cuts all over, I had cut where I didn’t think I could get them.”
Giles didn’t say anything but he looked Buffy up and down, she was still wearing her bloody clothes but everything else was tended too, “Are you sure you don’t want me to take you to the hospital? You don‘t look too well.”
Buffy nodded and then replied, “I know and I’m sure I don’t want to go to the hospital. They wouldn’t be able to handle Slayer healing even if I did go,” Buffy sighed, “What do you think the earthquakes were about?”
“I have no idea,” Giles replied, “It could of course just be a normal Southern Californian earthquake,” Giles paused while Buffy rolled her eyes, “I think you should go check on the Hellmouth just to be on the safe side.”
Buffy stood up and brushed her hair back, “I’ll do that as soon as I talk to Professor Walsh about Riley and if she can track him down.

The three Slayers ran from the guards, they ran for freedom. They wanted out. They all just wanted to go home.
